I was wrong.

Count this as one of the few times I'll admit that I was wrong.

Well I was when it comes to the war in Afghanistan.  I have it from a person down range that will remain unnamed that the Afghans are indeed much better than they were when he was last there.  His estimation alone means more than anything said by a  spokesman from NATO, the Pentagon or the White House.  I'm putting words in his mouth but it appears that he's hinting that we could actual win the thing.

It either happened too late OR the architects of the war didn't properly explain it AND support it in the halls of Congress or in the media.

Another issue that came up concerns the rules of engagement.  They still suck and still put guys in jeopardy.  On a related side note, the Wing is bringing the pain.

YOU GUYS GET AN APOLOGY.  MARINE AIR WILL GET PROPER RESPECT ESPECIALLY YOU ROTOR HEADS (hey...I say that with love)....

All in all...I'm pleasantly surprised.  Now.  Will the administration adjust its timetable or is this a done deal?

  2. Done deal the war being lost to American forces has been planned since it started on 911 once the anti wars and code pinks got on the democrat bandwagon the war was lost even if it was won.
The boomer crowd that is of the democrats wanted another Vietnam so badly they turned a winnable war into a clusterfuck of a miserable failure and will shout out "WE LOST IN AFGHANISTAN TO UNEDUCATED TRIBESMEN" and "KILLED WOMEN AND CHILDREN" blame the military, vets, Bush and republicans for the next 20 years.
Having served during the Vietnam era I can tell you whats coming next, destruction of the United States military as an effective fighting force and punishing the veterans for participating in an unjust war against the peaceful people of Afghanistan while attempting to destroy the Religion of Peace. "FOR SHAME!"
The democrats see a strong American military as THE THREAT to world peace and the children of the future.
The democrats don't intend to fight anymore wars and if we do we won't be able to win.
    Votes have consequences.
Our chances of receiving a nuke or other mass casualty event just went to 100% I see a time when American will despise and hate the military via indoctrination while going to school.
