Mike at New Wars talked alot about the Sea Control Ship concept but the implications of this are rather ominous. to yap about the LHA's being aircraft carriers as a talking point is one thing. to actually consider them capable of fulfilling the mission is another. if the Dept of the Navy is actually considering this then that's awesome and terrible at the same time.
Not sure how I feel about him pointing out the obvious. I'd give it about five minutes before some idiot liberal politician seizes that statement and starts whining about, "we damn sure don't need 22 carriers. Even during Reagan's time we got along with 14."
And Japan goes from 0 to 2 and South Korea goes from 0 to 1. Nice.
