Wow, how awesome would that T92 mortar been in Korea once it bogged down into the Sitzkrieg phase of the conflict? A battery of those to target a well-defended hill with Chicom all snug as bugs in their bunkers. That's a whole lotta plunging fire.
that scrapped it too soon but it would have been a winner. one day someone is going to do a what if movie on the invasion of Japan and we'll see all sorts of goodies like this one that would have shown up to do work. the T29 would have been in service, the LVT3C would have shown up. it would be something great to see.
