Why so much friction in Canada over an interim fighter purchase?

Thanks to Super Rhino for the link!

I need Canadian readers to chime in on this one.  From my chair that seems like much ado about nothing with regard to a simple interim purchase of fighters.

That one guy seems particularly strident.  I mean if I didn't know better I'd think he had stock in Lockheed Martin that he bet his retirement on that will go south if Canada doesn't buy the F-35!

Regardless, by the looks of this vid it seems that my thinking that this "interim buy" is simply gamesmanship by the Trudeau govt to quietly back out of the F-35 seems spot on...and the Conservatives aren't having any of it.

Which brings me back to the entire F-35 enterprise.  This plane brings nothing but corruption, lies, and ruin with it.  I just wish it did that to our enemies instead of our armed forces and those of our allies.
