Matsimus loves the Altay Main Battle Tank...

Just got turned onto this guy.  He's a gamer with a military background and he does reviews of real life gear.  This video covers the Altay and he's really into it.

I remain skeptical.

I'm just not sure of it.  I notice that the Turk's have done another upgrade of the M60 MBT, and they don't seem in a hurry to get rid of the Leopard variants so I'm not understanding the thinking here.  Are they gonna do a fire sale on the Leopards to partially fund the transition to the Altay?  Are they looking at having four tanks in service?

Once they get the orders started...once they field a couple of battalions, only then we'll know if this is a real project.
