That is one extremely powerful pairing...but I can't help but think of the dangers if the enemy gets lucky. 5K Sailors lost if the carrier is hit...2.5K Marines lost if they get the Essex?
The power of such a package is undeniable, but the risk if you get it wrong is stunning.
