Guess we need to talk about this. Coronavirus could cause several societal problems in a number of areas...

Trump is right to want to get the govt back open.  The economic consequences of a prolonged shut down should shock the soul.  Imagine whole swaths of the American public unemployed.  We could literally plunge the world into a global depression if he mistimes this thing and keeps us closed for too long.

But there is the other side of this too.  Did you hear about this freak named Timothy Wilson?  Via Heavy.com
Timothy Wilson, a man who died in an FBI shootout in Belton, Missouri, was planning to bomb a hospital providing “critical medical care” during the current coronavirus health care crisis, according to a statement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Wilson felt compelled to act when the Belton mayor issued a stay-at-home order to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak, The New York Times reported.

The Informant’s Nick R. Martin has unearthed social media posts he says were made by Wilson on Telegram channels using the handle Werwolfe 84; according to Martin’s research, Wilson was “an admirer of the 1980s terrorist group The Order” and was linked to “two active neo-Nazi organizations,” the National Socialist Movement (NSM) and Vorherrschaft Division (VSD). Elon University computer science professor Megan Squire helped Martin with the research.

According to Martin, Wilson was active on Telegram on Tuesday, March 24, writing that he thought the government was using coronavirus as an “excuse to destroy our people,” adding, “Mark my words it’s coming I hope people are ready.” He also commented on COVID-19, according to Martin, writing, “If you don’t think this whole thing was engineered by Jews as a power grab here is more proof of their plans. Jews have been playing the long game we are the only ones standing in their way.”

In the March 25, 2020 statement, the FBI revealed that it had executed a probable cause arrest the day before for Timothy Wilson, 36, at the 100th block of Wilbur Parish Circle in Belton, Missouri. That action came “at the conclusion of a long-running domestic terrorism investigation,” the FBI wrote.

FBI agents went to arrest Wilson, who was armed, when Wilson “was injured and transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased,” according to the statement from the FBI. The New York Times reported that Wilson was killed in a shootout with FBI agents. It’s not clear whether he died at his own hand or was shot by the agents.
Here.

Yeah.

Societal disorder is the other issue with this prolonged shutdown.  The news media is down playing the danger but its more than economic.

This is about our nation.

We're not China so I don't expect to see widespread martial law declared but this "shutdown" activated this clown and it could others.

Additionally (and I won't go into details) but police/sheriff depts are getting hit hard.

State Police and other local agencies are trying to fill in where appropriate but once they finish their quarantine (unless they tragically need hospitalization) then we're running short.  Changes in routine have been announced to limit contact but there are times when you just have to go hands on.

I guess what I'm getting at is the longer this goes on the more likely we're gonna have to try NATIONWIDE martial law.

Partial opening of places that are "lightly" affected means that we can send National Guard Military Police to those big cities that partied when they should have remained inside (looking at you New Orleans, New York, Chicago and other places) to reinforce local law enforcement.

SO what does that mean?

It means that we'll see big cities continue stay at home orders.  Probably reinforced with some type of police action if they see a violator.  They'll have the National Guard to back them up and fill gaps in the line.

In other locations you'll see the order lifted and life will get back to normal.  Big cities are different from rural locations.  City mice once cherished that difference.  Now?  Now, if Trump is smart, they'll re-think their lifestyle.
