Check your 5 & 25

AWARENESS: The OODA Loop is a four step decision making process commonly utilized by LEA and DOD; observe, orient, decide and act. The OODA Loop is commonly used in high stress situations where you need to make the best decision so your actions can save lives. When you observe you need to gather as much information as possible so the rest of the decision making process can effectively work. When observing, check your 5 and 25. Originally utilized when dismounting a vehicle in a high IED threat area, checking a 5 meter radius and a 25 meter radius around you is a safety measure to ensure you don’t step on something you don’t want to. We can use this method in our everyday life. Check your immediate space; 5 meters radius. Check where you will potentially go or what could potentially come to you; 25 meters radius. Use this technique when leaving your house, getting out of your car, exiting your work etc etc. . . . 🇺🇸 Shared from @prepared_america 🇺🇸 . . . . . . #awareness #situationalawareness #observe #observation #surroundings #prepared #preparedness #america #watchyourback #orient #decide #act #oodaloop #military #dod #lea #lawenforcement #training #tactical #chicago #newyork #philadelphia #houston #losangeles #sandiego #ruralamerica #farmers #urban #ready
