Combat Engineers...The Pathfinders of the 2nd Marine Division.

Founded on November 1st, 1940, the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion has spent over 85 years proving that no obstacle, natural or man-made, can stop the @2dmardiv. Being a Sapper in 2nd CEB isn’t just about demolition; it’s about being the tactical architect of the battlefield. These @marines are the masters of: Mobility: Breaching minefields, clearing complex obstacles, and bridging gaps to ensure the infantry stays on the move. Counter-Mobility: Constructing defenses and shaping the terrain to dictate exactly where the enemy dies. Survivability: Building the fighting positions and fortifications that keep Marines in the fight. Tactical Demolition: If there is a door, a wall, or a bunker in the way, it’s gone. From the jungles of Guadalcanal and the fortified seawalls of Tarawa to the IED-swept roads of Helmand Province, 2nd CEB has been the first to strike and the first to lead. They are the bridge between the plan and the objective. Whether it's urban breaching or heavy timber construction, the mission remains the same: Engineer the victory. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Grace Stover)
