The Marine Corps does "in defense of the amphibious task force" drills everytime they go aboard ship. But that's real old skool shit that don't apply in the modern era. The Houthis taking this island? That's modern warfare and a serious problem. Hybrid warfare was supposed to be out of style but it seems that the Houthis did not get that memo. This will be interesting. The Marine Corps has gone totally defensive when it comes to its force posture. Houthi rebels just went from an annoyance into a real problem. Amphibious or Airborne Assault has to be on the table.
