This is so interesting. The USMC and Norwegians both bought the same missile but diverged on how they would deploy it. The Marines were so anxious to have a "leap" into the future went the unmanned route. The Norwegians were more sensible and decided to put it on a protected mobility vehicle instead. I think the Norwegians got it right. Even if the Marines were determined to put it on the JLTV then stretching it and adding an extra axle, yes it would still be manned but it would have been more cost effective AND I think more effective in its role. Additionally a properly stretched JLTV could have mounted other missile pods (depending on weight). Regardless check out the Norwegian solution.
