Nisa Mickens’ body was found on Stahley Street in Brentwood, New York on September 13, 2016, the day before her 16th birthday. Her friend Kayla Cuevas was found dead the next day in a nearby backyard. Police said both teens had significant injuries to the head and face, as well as cutting injuries, and died of blunt force trauma.

“These murders show a level of brutality that is close to unmatched,” Suffolk County police commissioner Tim Sini told CBS.

MS-13 gang members, who have been charged in the murders, are known for using bats and machetes to kill their victims. Robert Capers, the United States District Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said Mickens was so badly beaten around her face that she was barely recognizable.

“The murders of these teens are particularly disturbing,” he said. 

The girls were celebrating Mickens’ upcoming birthday when they were attacked.

President Trump recognized the girls’ parents during his State of the Union address, saying “everyone in America is grieving for you.”

You believe in the dreamers?  Awesome.  You have that right.  But Trump got it so right on so many things last night.

Included in a portion of his speech that had me cheering?

Americans are dreamers too.

Believe in the dreamers but have sympathy for those two girls that were savagely beaten.  Wrap your brain around the fact that they were so beaten up that they weren't recognizable.  Consider the fact that it wasn't enough for these monsters.  They had to hack them with machetes too.

Commonsense indicates that we must get a handle on immigration. 

Does that mean cutting off immigration completely?  No.  Not at all.  Might it mean that we take a pause to ensure that we have people assimilating into our society?  That might be an idea in my opinion.

Regardless, this is a tragedy. 

We've got to do a better job of telling the other side of the immigration story.

Not gonna lie.  I'm still geeking out over the Ruger PC Carbine.  I was checking out this video and it seems really quiet.  Is that just my imagination or do pistol caliber carbines just naturally operate with lower noise signatures?

I'm a pure noob when it comes to these things.  Anyone know?

Documents released on Tuesday revealed that police investigating the mass shooting last October in Las Vegas were seeking to question a second man in connection to the attack.

The identity of the man has not been previously reported. It is unclear whether the man who was identified in the documents as a person of interest remains under investigation. The authorities have said that Stephen Paddock was the sole gunman responsible for the attack, but that there was one additional person of interest still under investigation whom they declined to identify.

On Tuesday, a Nevada court unsealed hundreds of pages of search warrants, including an affidavit filed less than a week after the shooting that identifies the gunman’s longtime girlfriend as a person of interest. The authorities subsequently said the girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was not considered a suspect and that she had continued to cooperate with local and federal investigators.

This thing has turned from being a tragedy to a conspiracy and now a down right unspoken terror event.

It all adds up.

Do you remember how the information has been leaked.  Months later we find out that there was a second person of interest.  At the time of the attack we were assured that their was only one shooter even though we had numerous stories of a second shooter being spotted by witnesses.

The security guard for the Casino has suddenly disappeared and finally the guys live in girlfriend is off the radar and back in the Philippines.

Mark my words on this one.  This is no longer just a mass shooting.  This has the scent of a national security event and a terror attack.  The why's remain to be uncovered but this whole thing reeks.

A Chinese military aircraft has crashed during a training flight in Guizhou province in Southwest China on Jan. 29, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force said in a statement.

The statement did not reveal the type of plane involved in the incident or if there were any casualties. Multiple videos and photos circulated on Weibo show a jet crashed into a mountainous region near Zhengchang village of Suiyang in Guizhou Province.

According to some media reports, the aircraft involved is a PLA Air Force Y-8GX4 Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) aircraft, with serial no: 30513, assigned to the PLAAF 20th Special Missions Division. The Y-8G fleet of the division is reportedly based close to the crash site. Some reports added that around 40 people were killed in the crash and there are no survivors.

Ok, the issue here isn't the plane crash.  Military training and especially military aviation is inherently dangerous.  The fact that planes crash and people die is an unfortunate reality of the lifestyle.

You don't have to like it, but you do have to accept it.

The issue that has everyone abuzz (I'm assuming this is why everyone is talking about it) is because the Chinese govt seems to be making an effort to erase the incident from the net.

The reason why I haven't posted about this till now is because that's what they do.

Communist nations control data.  Communist nations attempt to erase data that doesn't "sing" the song that want sung.

China is a communist nation.

This is what they do.

Why people are acting surprised is beyond me.  Could it be that people have become so confused that they thought China was something different?

Long short.

This is just a case of the wider world noticing what the Chinese are doing.  You can bet your ass they've done this many times before and no one picked up on it.
