This piece of Chinese propaganda misses the mark badly...

This Chinese propaganda doesn't make sense. Those devils look jacked
by u/thatflooringdude in USMC
Yeah the Chinese kinda screwed this one up. As the redditor said, our boys look jacked! I wonder how the Chinese view us. Do they see us as a 10 foot tall monster that they've got to work overtime to defeat? If so then how do we exploit that?

Cartoon on the modern prank of "walking into random houses"

Yeah.

They're doing this shit in the UK and I guess the Brits are good with it.

It might be happening on the East and West coast.  I really don't know.

Try that shit down South and its gonna turn out real bad.  Bad and ugly and sad.

I am this cartoon.  I'd be sad that they made this mistake but I'd do it again if it happened again.

Note.  Did you see that cleansing statement at the end.  I owned the violence but with that statement justified it?  That's professional testimony!  Classes work!

Jimmy Butler. Standing up for public order on the micro level.

I'm a Miami Heat fan. If you look up and down the roster they have a great team and Jimmy Butler is just pure dee stud.

It was his tenacity that first had me following him.  There is no quit in the guy.  It's 110% all the time.  He's passionate about his work and rejects anyone that isn't putting out 110 too.

If that wasn't enough he said this during a recent interview...
Butler’s journey to loving Country Music started when he attempted to troll his teammates. They were all listening to music in the locker room through their Beats headphones. Normal, right? Wrong.

Instead of listening to music with the headphones on, they’d hang them around their necks so everyone was forced to hear the music. Sadly, this is all too common during a subway commute. (SNAFU NOTE!  He asked them to put their headphones on and they refused saying that he should listen to what he listens to and let them listen to what they listen to)

So Jimmy Butler went home and Googled ‘what is the most Country song?’ What he found was Tim McGraw’s Don’t Take The Girl so he queued it up and started playing it in the locker room to make a point. What he also found was he actually really enjoyed Country Music and the rest was history.

The love of country music is a sideshow to me.

The MAIN THING is that this guying is standing up for public order.

Maybe its on a micro level but he's still standing up for it which is rare especially for a star basketball player and even more impressive is that this stance will probably damage him with his core demographic that will fuel his ad revenue.

Impressive in my mind.  This is what no fucks to give looks like.

Combined Arms Breach....this is what Ukraine will be facing if they actually counterattack Russia. Confidence is not high that they'll be successful.

Think about this. Performing a combined arms breach is in the top 3 of military operations. Amphibious Assault being the most difficult in my opinion (no worry about that though...Berger gave up on it, but maybe the US Army will pick it up), Airborne Assault and last a combined arms breach.

Ya know what.  Scratch that.  Airborne Assaults are planned with the idea that LGOP will have to formulate plans as they go so move CAB up to number two.

After seeing all the fighting that we have up to this point do you think that the Ukrainians will be able to perform this complex military operation?

During Desert Storm the US Army and USMC were conducting CAB all up and down the line while the French did that deep desert feint.

But that was basically NATO (yep look at the roster) against one sorta medium power in the desert.

This is a Ukraine supplied by NATO going up against Russia.  Check out the tweet below to see what they're going up against. Its almost textbook field fortification work.

If Ukraine was smart they would delay the offensive. They need 3 brigades that are fully up to speed on conducting a combined arms breach and they're gonna have to have at least another 3 that are ready to exploit the breakthrough.

From where I'm sitting they don't have it right now.

If they do decide to go now then the Russians are gonna put them in self-made kill boxes and shred Ukrainian forces.

I hope the White House has a serious leash on Zelensky.  If they do push ahead the images of burned up Abrams/Leopards/Challengers with crews hanging out of hatches burned up is gonna be a public relations nightmare.

They won't wait though.

War is politics and the politics of this fight means that if Ukraine fails and gets a bunch of its sons killed the blame will shift to them needing wonder weapon a/b or c, and how people like me calling for peace talks kept the various administrations from giving the Ukes what they needed.

The CB-90 is only 3 million dollars? The USMC should get a few dozen and dump the LSM idea.

The author in this story is making the case for CB-90s for the SIF. Still hate that concept and believe its an evolutionary dead end that will utterly fail if used in combat and will ruin the careers of all involved. HOWEVER, a certain reader has been making the case for CB-90s for years now and considering its price tag we should buy a few dozen and enhance the Marine Corps instead of turning it into a bitched up Naval Auxillary. This footnote caught my attention (read the article).
16. Mallory Shelbourne, “Navy Awards BAE Systems $140 Million Contract Modification for ACV Lot 2,” InsideDefense.com, 7 December 2018; Naval Technology, “Combat Boat 90 (CB-90) Sweden,” Naval-Technology.com; “Mk VI Patrol Boats, United States of America,” Naval-Technology.com; and Jeremiah Gertler, V-22 Osprey Tilt-Rotor Aircraft Program (Washington, DC: Congressional Research Service, 19 April 2012), 6. At a price around $3 million for the CB-90 or $7 million for the Mk VI, loss of one of these platforms is far more palatable than losing a $100 million LAW, $70 million MV-22 Osprey, or even a $14 million ACV.

Uh, why is the ACV so expensive?  That Turk MAV is looking more and more attractive.  I'm a fan of BAE but I'll be damned if it doesn't look like this whole thing ran off the rails somewhere.

But more importantly is the cost of the CB-90.  3 mil?  Why waste the ACV in the Pacific if we can transport, provide fires and patrol with CB-90s?

Berger talked about a campaign of learning.

More like a campaign of ripping this thing apart and starting from zero.  The next Commandant has a mess on his hands.  Berger left him in a VERY hard spot.

Did Ukraine just make a run at Belarus?

Have you been watching the Bud Light backlash? It wasn't the first woke pushback...military recruiting was!

Have you been watching the Bud Light backlash?

It wasn't the first woke pushback.  Military recruiting was.

Check out the similarities.

The military despite what you have been told recently was always a bastion of conservative values.  Many, myself included, have watched the military get woke.  Once that happened the appeal of serving for many people went away.

Zoom over to Bud Light.  Bud got woke.  The appeal that took decades to build went away all because of one spokesman (intended gendering).

The military and Bud need to find a fine line and walk it with purpose and determination.

You can appeal to a new group of individuals but at the same time you DAMN better make sure that you don't alienate the group of people that supported your rise.

The same applies to a whole range of companies.  I wondered where the bridge too far would hit with this current rage of woke and it appears that pronouns, men in women's sports might have been it.
