Terror attack in Berlin

More to come.

General Hisao Tani executed

General Hisao Tani, the man who oversaw the Nanking Massacre, was executed on 26 April 1947 after being found guilty of war crimes by the war tribunal set up by Chiang Kai-shek. Poetically, at least in the eyes of the tribunal, Hisao Tani’s executioner was a Chinese veteran who survived the Battle of Nanking

Russian ambassador shot in the back in Turkey?  This will not go over well.  I wonder what the reaction will be.

Wounded Knee Massacre

via Wikipedia
The Wounded Knee Massacre occurred on December 29, 1890,[4] near Wounded Knee Creek (Lakota: Čhaŋkpé Ópi Wakpála) on the LakotaPine Ridge Indian Reservation in the U.S. state of South Dakota.
The previous day, a detachment of the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment commanded by Major Samuel M. Whitside intercepted Spotted Elk's band of Miniconjou Lakota and 38 Hunkpapa Lakota near Porcupine Butte and escorted them 5 miles (8.0 km) westward to Wounded Knee Creek, where they made camp. The remainder of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, led by Colonel James W. Forsyth, arrived and surrounded the encampment. The regiment was supported by a battery of four Hotchkiss mountain guns.[5]
On the morning of December 29, the troops went into the camp to disarm the Lakota. One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[6] A scuffle over the rifle ensued and by the time it was over, more than 150 men, women, and children of the Lakota had been killed and 51 were wounded (4 men and 47 women and children, some of whom died later); some estimates placed the number of dead at 300.[1] Twenty-five soldiers also died, and 39 were wounded (6 of the wounded later died).[7] At least twenty soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor.[8] In 2001, the National Congress of American Indians passed two resolutions condemning the awards and called on the U.S. government to rescind them.[9] The site of the battlefield has been designated a National Historic Landmark.[4] In 1990, both houses of the U.S. Congress passed a resolution formally expressing "deep regret" for the massacre.[10]

Huge M1A2 order from Kuwait

via Fox Business
General Dynamics landed a huge arms contract Opens a New Window. in August when Saudi Arabia requested permission to purchase $1.15 billion worth of M1 Abrams main battle tanks for its army. At least, the contract looked huge at the time. Now, it looks positively tiny...
Because General Dynamics just scored a second tank contract last week that's 50% bigger.
Once again, General Dynamics is benefiting from turbulence in the Middle East.
As we learned earlier this week from an official U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency notification Opens a New Window. to Congress, the government of Kuwait has asked Congress to approve the sale of a "recapitalization" package for 218 of its M1A2 main battle tanks. According to DSCA, this recapitalization will include the sale of 240 .50-caliber M2A1 machine guns and 480 7.62 mm M240 machine guns to install on the tanks, plus upgraded armor and engines, new 120 mm cannon tubes and remotely operated weapons stations, and assorted radios, night vision goggles, infrared sights, and other hardware.
In total, the recapitalization, which is essentially a rebuilding and upgrading of the entire tank fleet, will be worth $1.7 billion in revenue to principle contractor General Dynamics, which builds the M1. Other companies named as principal contractors include American contractors Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell, and also Norwegian defense giant Kongsberg.
Bad times and rumors of war in the middle east is good news for defense  contractors.

Breaking Rumor! Don't know if this is true but supposedly a SOCOM has been captured by Syrian Forces.

Thanks to Kenneth for the link.

BREAKING: 14 US-Led Coalition Military Advisers Captured by Syrian Special Forces in Aleppo.
Note that they list the name of a Civil Support Officer but I will not do that till this is confirmed or denied.  If this is true then the nightmare scenario is in effect.

If not then this is a stupid shot in the dark by Syrian forces.  We'll find out soon enough I guess.

Story here...decide for yourself.

China holds its first live-fire drills with aircraft carrier

pics via China Defense Blog (more here)

The Chinese are testing the resolve of the incoming President and giving the middle finger to the outgoing one.  Consider this...

1.  China just devalued their dollar.  That means that cheap Chinese good are gonna be even cheaper.  They're daring Trump to do something about it.

2.  That incident with the stolen underwater drone was probably more intense than we're being told.  Around 2009 the Chinese played the same games with this same ship.  The difference?  Last time they sent a mini-task force of 5 military ships and a fishing trawler to harass them.  The retaliation was to send the ship back out with an escort.  Considering how the Chinese behave we should have all unarmed aircraft/ships escorted by Burke class destroyers.

3.  Then the pics above.  They just conducted their first live fire drill with their aircraft carrier.

Its time to stop kneeling in front of the Chinese and pleasuring them.  They are the real threat to our nation's survival, not the Russians.

We need to seriously get our stance with them sorted out (cooperation is not respected...we're talking about Asia...only strength is respected).  We also need to prepare for a major fight.  If you spend 5 minutes on Chinese websites you'll realize that even the average citizen of that country wants a war with the US.  We need to get ready.

Russia conducted cyber warfare back in the summer and only now it deserves a response?

via FoxNews.
The U.S. will "take action" against Russia for alleged cyberattacks on Democratic officials, President Obama warned Thursday, hours after his spokesman claimed that President-elect Donald Trump "obviously knew" about the breaches and leaks that critics say propelled him to victory in last month's election.
The tough talk from Obama came in an interview scheduled to air on National Public Radio Friday. It followed complaints of Republican lawmakers that federal authorities refuse to brief them on investigations into Russia's role in leaking tensof thousands of damaging emails from top Clinton campaign officials.

"I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections ... we need to take action," Obama said. "And we will — at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be."
Earlier Thursday, Press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters during the daily White House briefing that "Mr. Trump obviously knew that Russia was engaged in malicious cyber activity that was helping him, [and] hurting [Democrat Hillary] Clinton ... "These are all facts that are not in dispute."
This is insane.

Suddenly the Russian breach of Dem Party computers played a part in swaying the election (personally I think they gave us a peek behind the curtain of how the elite actually see the masses) and only now the President thinks it deserves a response?

Is he really that weak?  Was he that indecisive?

We're just over a month away from him leaving office and just now he's planning on a response?

This whole issue was planned as a way to sully Trump and weaken him just as he enters office.  Instead it will be the finally nail in Obama's reputation.  He will be seen as weaker than Carter and "indecisive" will be the most kind word used to describe his foreign policy.
