Is it real?

Tremendous pride in these guys. They're heading to the sound of chaos. Good on them and I hope everyone comes back safe and whole.
But the strategy side of this thing has me scratching my head. How can you launch strikes on Iranian militias and NOT have the embassy reinforced BEFORE you hit them?
Make no mistake.
These so called protests are an asymmetric response. So far the media is labelling these militias as protesters AND luckily for our side they're playing it "smartly" instead of really poking us and launching a full on assault on our house.
I guess the tally so far is...SPMAGTF-CR earns a well done...strategy planners get a WTF.

Judge this one for yourselves gentlemen! The accusations are inflammatory and if true shows a total disregard for everything I thought the Marine Corps stood for.
IF THIS IS TRUE then members of the senior leadership should be criminally charged.
I'm rolling with "IF" because I'm waiting with baited breath for a comment from HQMC. Hopefully the defense media will ask the hard questions since I can't (well I can but they won't respond).
We need answer and more importantly we need the truth...

An old proverb says that you're truly blessed if you have a worthy adversary. If that's the case then we should be grateful...hopefully the Chinese feel the same.
But back on task.
That's a good looking ship. According to Wikipedia its capabilities match those of the Burke Class. Hope our sub boys are up to task cause it looks like a target rich environment.
But speaking of that. We're putting alot of faith in our subs handling the tough work but not much has been said about advances in the tech. Not much discussion on these pages.
Once Special Ops and Submarines Service were the two "silent" entities in the DoD. I think Special Ops has come a bit more into the light but the Sub Service remains quiet.
Can they carry the load in a high intensity war with a peer at sea?

We better hope people like Musk can get this space travel thing right cause NASA has lost a step and other nations are either ahead or pacing us.
As much as I dislike the idea of a "Space Force" (should have been a separate command falling under the Joint Chiefs directly) its necessary.
Whether we like it or not the next war between peer adversaries will involve combat in space. Which probably means that we need to get our launch capabilities up to speed so we can replace sats after they get knocked out.
If I can imagine this so can the brains so I hope they're working the problem.
