NATO stands ready to reinforce the eastern part of Alliance territory at a moment’s notice

Is this badass or is it the Marine Corps accepting everything from everyone?

Saw this on Instagram just now thought it was bad fuckin ass

This is much more complex than just a turban.

How much do we expect a military organization to yield to personal differences?  Isn't uniformity a thing or is it a thing of the past?

What happens when weed is part of someone's religious or cultural beliefs?

Do they get to smoke weed off duty or even on?  Sound extreme? I thought I'd never see the above!

AND NO THIS IS NOT AGAINST THIS MARINE OR HIS RELIGION!

In my mind its bigger than that.  He doesn't have to be a Marine. Whether enlisted or officer if religion, social, racial, or other creeds with their individual differences and peculiarities are allowed than its no longer a uniformed service but instead a hodge podge.

Is this old guy thinking?  Not sure.  Today's Marines certainly don't seem to give a fuck but just wow.

The old "you are all equally worthless" doesn't seem to apply anymore.  Guess you can get a chit for anything.

Ukraine is starting to "police" its craziness. A post on Reddit and then a cleansing of the same post...

UA fighters reported to the Russian wife about the liquidation of her husband.

This post hit Reddit earlier (saw it today around noon). Below is the cleansing of the same post...
Backstory updated : regarding the dead russian soldier photo sent to his wife.

Whoever is running the Reddit site has locked comments on the cleansing post and I'm sure by early Sat comments will be deleted if not the entire post. This is the battle for minds you see playing out right before your eyes.

We have leaped way past the "Vietnamization" of this war.  Before we were counting bodies and destroyed vehicles.  Now?  Now they've had to up the ante and show the machismo.  They have to taunt the families of people killed in war.

Obviously its hitting a bit differently now.  We've seen this type of thing before but there was no need to clean it up when everyone was caught up in the war fever and support for Ukraine thing.

You have people in big cities complaining about immigrants in their parks, schools and playgrounds.  New York City dwellers are complaining that scarce resources are going to people that just got here (in the US) so imagine how they feel about billions being sent to a country overseas!

The free ride for the globalist and elite is almost over.
Propaganda doesn't work when things are so jacked up at home.

This is how you know things are going sideways in Ukraine....Biden asks Congress for additional funding to support Ukraine

 via Military Times

The Biden administration on Thursday asked Congress to provide more than $13 billion in emergency defense aid to Ukraine and an additional $8 billion for humanitarian support through the end of the year, another massive infusion of cash as the Russian invasion wears on and Ukraine pushes a counteroffensive against the Kremlin’s deeply entrenched forces.

The reality?

We're not just funding their war effort we're funding their entire country.

Ukraine does not exist.

We have an undeclared territory being supported by the US & EU under the leadership of a puppet but the country of Ukraine no longer functions.

If a country no longer functions is it a country?

Berger's transformation was trash yet they still try and defend the Fudd...

Berger aka Elmer Fudd
via Military.com
Gen. Berger saw what needed to be done and had the moral courage to follow through with what he considered to be in the best interest of the Marine Corps, which is likely the most solemn responsibility of any commandant. I am sure that every commandant who has brought major change to the Corps has faced a battery of critics, some louder than others, and the good ones weathered the storm and carried on with what they thought best.

One of our most beloved commandants, Gen. Al Gray, bulled through the criticism leveled against him; at times, it was vehement. It also lingered for years after he retired. I well remember as a company commander at Camp Lejeune when we were preparing to participate in a Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation in 1995. Our regimental commander got up in front of all the officers in our battalion and said, "We made this exercise very difficult for you because I do not believe in this maneuver warfare crap, and we will prove it with this exercise."

Luckily, our battalion commander did believe in it and, more importantly, ensured the battalion could operate within that philosophy. We crushed the exercise. This is but one example, and I like to think, though I have no proof, that the major changes (much more major than anything in FD 2030) that the Corps underwent in the 1930s as we prepared for the war with Japan were met with a great deal of opposition. One of the biggest was that, due to the disaster at Gallipoli in 1915, amphibious operations were a non-starter. Time proved that the changes were exactly what we needed, just as it did with maneuver warfare.

If a war starts in the Western Pacific, and I, like many others, hope it never will, we will be properly prepared for it, or at least be able to adjust quickly. What I am convinced of, though, is that if Gen. Berger had done what many of his critics recommended, more talk and experimentation before anything changed, we would have a difficult time even getting to the fight in the Western Pacific and, once there, we would have the wrong weapons and equipment for the fight we would be faced with.

Gen. Berger served his entire 42-year career honorably, and always foremost in his mind was what was best for the Marine Corps. The system that chooses commandants certainly got it right in choosing him, and he more than fulfilled the faith and responsibility that were placed in him when he was confirmed and assumed the office of commandant. He saw what needed to be done with clear-sighted vision that comes from looking at and analyzing a wicked problem for years before becoming the commandant; had the intestinal fortitude to work with a team of planners to formulate what he deemed to be the best course of action; and then ensured it was executed in a timely manner. For all that, he should be honored instead of derided.

When I was commanding general of Marine Corps University, one of the other service chiefs came to speak to Marine Corps War College. He said he admired the fact that the Marine Corps had a commandant instead of something else. He went on to say that when the commandant makes a decision, people salute and carry out that decision to the best of their ability. When other service chiefs make a decision, that is the start of the debate at the senior levels of the service. It was one of many occasions that I was very glad I was a Marine.

We do indeed have a strong commandant system and, while not all have lived up to the expectations of the office, Gen. Berger certainly did.

Here

BERGER MET THE EXPECTATIONS OF OFFICE?  THAT IS UTTER BULLSHIT!!!

Do you know what we've actually seen that should SCARE (and I'm using that word correctly) the living day lights out of anyone associated with the Marine Corps?

We saw a total lack of moral courage among active duty officers and SNCOs.

They were bullied into silence and they kept their mouths shut.  Not once did we see the courage of convictions by any of them.

We were told before these fucks took office (I'm including Berger's sycophants in this) that if they didn't get onboard then they should be dismissed.

That shit worked and its a shame it did.

Force Design 2030 should be one of the many defense scandals that this generation of generals has participated in (how can we have so many fucking losers wearing stars at the same time?).

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs using backchannel communications to tell the Chinese shit?  Whoever was in charge of that shit show in Afghanistan?  This idiocy in Ukraine.  Finally the bullshit that the Marine Corps has gone thru.

Our generals have been reduced to being as worthless as tits on a bull.  They're fucking pathetic and we all better pray that China doesn't go to war with us if these clowns are in charge.

I digress.

Berger was and is shit.  They can try and rebuild it but his reputation is and will continue to be seen as one of the worst Commandant's the Marine Corps has ever seen.

If the new Commandant is ACTUALLY behind this idea then I can get excited about things again!

Kinda funny. Remember when this all got started? Loren freaking Thomas told Berger not to go too crazy. Berger did. If the new guy is gonna do a course correct in this way then we might see a bit of balance coming back. Pity though. The Ground Combat Element has been wrecked and all the bubbas on active duty shut up while it happened. Hope their new rank is worth their lives. If they went to war with a "pure" FD2030 then they'd come home in bags.

News about the fight in Ukraine is slowing down BUT it appears that the Russian counter-counter offensive is making gains...

This is the most propagandized war in the history of the world.

The terrible thing for all of us is that the powers that be are trying to "SHAPE" opinion.

The truth?

The only way to glimpse the truth is to trust your instincts and knowledge, listen to those with various view points and develop your own opinion.

My opinion?

The Russians have successfully blunted this counter offensive.  We are rapidly heading toward a cold winter and the lines will probably be frozen.

The time for a negotiated peace has arrived (again) and its time for diplomats to step to the front.

Lastly, the US needs to develop a new playbook.  Nations both friendly, in the middle and declared enemies have found ways to blunt sanctions.

Using proxies to push our agenda is becoming increasingly difficult.  The cost of war is beginning to affect our domestic politics despite herculean efforts to insulate our population from our overseas entanglements.

We have to find a new way.

Supporters of Niger's coup leaders gather in front of French military base calling for them to leave...

ECOWAS is acting on behalf of Western powers. No way should we be seeing this block leading an assault on Niger. I see games being played and probably money being exchanged. As usual, troops and civilians will pay with their lives in another unnecessary conflict.

Biden Special Counsel appointed. UPDATED!!!

SORRY GUYS!  I was watching the news and saw Garland make this announcement and went straight into rage mode.  I hate the fact that this administration is so damn corrupt and they seem to be getting away with it.  Aimed fire is required and I was just spraying the room.

Republicans are such fucking idiots.

All the demands of a special counsel and now Hunter gets one for his case.

We'll never know what happened.  This investigation will be frozen and they can hide behind the fact that its being looked at by the special counsel and that they don't want to tarnish his investigation by releasing details.

Hunter Biden issue is off the table for the next election.

STUPID FUCKING IDIOTS!

Republican insiders, Dems and the monied elite have made a fool of the public again.

Worse?

Many cheered for this and demanded it.

This country is fucked.

Impressment in Ukraine is real...and the victims are running or fighting back...

Seen all kinds of vids like this one. Guys are jumping out of luxury vehicles and box vans and chasing down, fighting or simply bullying people into service. Saw one vid where a guy was pinned against a wall, 3 guys around him with one punching the living dog shit outta him and asking him over and over...do you want to volunteer? Quite sad. Ukraine is at war. I get that. But the evil under current isn't something we should turn away from. A priest prays for peace and then is bullied into withdrawing that prayer and does a different one to please the political master in Kyiv instead of God? Just fucking sad.

Ukraine cannot exist without corruption!

Western allies receive increasingly GLOOMY updates on Ukraine's counteroffensive

Important pieces of the article...
“They’re still going to see, for the next couple of weeks, if there is a chance of making some progress. But for them to really make progress that would change the balance of this conflict, I think, it’s extremely, highly unlikely,” a senior western diplomat told CNN.

+

Multiple officials said the approach of fall, when weather and fighting conditions are expected to worsen, gives Ukrainian forces a limited window to push forward.

Western officials also say the slow progress has exposed the difficulty of transforming Ukrainian forces into combined mechanized fighting units, sometimes with as few as eight weeks of training on western-supplied tanks and other new weapons systems. The lack of progress on the ground is one reason Ukrainian forces have been striking more often inside Russian territory “to try and show Russian vulnerability,” said a senior US military official.

Note.  All those strikes are just for show.  Its meaningless as far as the battlefield is concerned.  It gives the zealots hope but professionals know better.

Some officials fear the widening gap between expectations and results will spark a “blame game” among Ukrainian officials and their western supporters, which may create divisions within the alliance which has remained largely intact nearly two years into the war.

“The problem, of course, here is the prospect of the blame game that the Ukrainians would then blame it on us,” said a senior western diplomat.

This is the rub.

This is the thing that keeps Western govts up at night.

They pushed all in on the most corrupt country this side of Somalia, gave them all kinds of money and weapons and somehow, someway expected success.

It was a fool's errand from the start and they knew it.

How the Strong Commandant System Caught Up with the Marine Corps

A combatant commander with a one region view ascended to the rank of Commandant of the Marine Corps and used the weaknesses in our system to destroy it. After the debacle that is Berger finally settles in and even his sycophants can no longer defend his "vision" we'll finally see roadblocks built to prevent wholesale, single view, single region change by a zealot mascquerading as Commandant from destroying OUR Marine Corps.

Poland wants this fight bad! Sends 2K troops to Belarus border...

You put that many troops on the border and you can expect some rogue commander on either side to dig his fangs in and do some stupid shit. Poland wants this fight bad...and the NATO charter will be the tool to turn Europe into a battlefield. I know everyone is thinking 32 nations against 1 will be easy but the risks involved in such will be tragic for everyone.

Ukraine thanks Australia for their Bushmasters...

Weird naming of a vehicle from an American perspective. Whenever I think of "bushmaster" I always think of an AR brand.

Sunday Weird. A woman who lives like a horse because of her love for horses.

Sex should be interesting. Bet she's also suprisingly powerful too. She's doing super mountain climbers. She must be a beast in the gym. Scratch that. If she gets her mental health together she would crush crossfit.
