  2. yes but what if the F-35 stol never make it? Harries will be only thing that they will have (if they can keep them flying) for the next 30 years.

  3. Not something I really like, but the term "too big to fail" makes sure the F-35B will still see the light. Question is, will it still be affordable for all those potential mini-carrier nations, such as Spain, Italy, the UK but also possibly Japan, Australia and South Korea.

    Another option is that these light carriers might become UAV carriers. Although not as flexible as a manned carrier borne fighter, they still have a lot of potential when supporting a maritime strategy.
