If you like multi-purpose and modular, Denmark's Absalon class is worth a look. They combine the container ready "flex space" and helicopter capability of an LCS with the powerful, well rounded armament the LCS lacks. They also have the capability to move vehicles up to MBT size, using RO/RO, and the ability to carry a company of troops with vehicles or a hospital or a command group and so on.
The cost is a much larger hull and slower speed than the LCS, but it is hard for me to see how the increased power and the flexible power projection in littoral environments wouldn't be worth it.
There's also a variant of the Absalon, the Huitfeld class, that is basically the Absalon with one fewer decks and much heavier missile armament instead of all the "flex space".

The Absalon class has a 6.3 meter draft while the LCS has a 3.9 meter draft. "L" is for Litorral after all. ;)
