  1. Am I understanding that the Marine Corps chose the artillary community over the mortar community to field the M327 Mortar? I wonder how much blood and political capital was spent to determine that outcome.

  2. i'm thinking that aviation community was the real drivers on this one. just like back during the 1950's when we developed the mighty mite jeep because it could fit inside helicopters at the time, i think that we did the same with the m327 mortar.
