FNSS PARS 6x6 for Indonesia?

I'm having trouble determining exactly WHAT vehicle Doosan is actually selling to Indonesia.

They have produced a 6x6 for a competition to equip the S. Korean Army and lost.  That vehicle was the Black Fox.

Then suddenly we hear about them selling a vehicle to Indonesia and although I originally posted an article saying that the vehicle (and award) was another win for FNSS or the Koreans had practically cloned the vehicle, I was told that the vehicle being offered was the Black Fox.

I went to the website this morning and what do I see?  The FNSS PARS 6x6 being listed as the vehicle that Doosan is selling.

Defense procurement is becoming murky, confusing and appears to be getting cut outs.

Of course this could all be the results of partnerships, financing, royalties, production rights etc...

I'm sure there is more to come.

  1. Both FNSS and Doosan bought licence from GPV. It is (or was) same vehicle. But FNSS's design has little big similaritys. Look at that.

  2. GPV had "6x6x6/8x8x8" Vehicles early 2000s; but they are not ready for military qualification/standart in some sens. Than GPV probably agreed to share their design with FNSS and Doosan, FNSS advanced design basic GPV vehicles; than latest variant of PARS almost has no relation with early GPV vehicles. Probably Doosan did same.

Interesting development process also occured ST Kinetics "Terrex"

    1. Irish Timoney developed AV81 8X8 Vehicle:

2.Then Timoney shared basic design with Turkish OTOKAR and ST Kinetics; than OTOKAR new vehicle "AV82" designated as "Yavuz" has been developed:

3.ST Kinetics continued to develope AV82 as "terrex", where as OTOKAR has developed totally new vehicle "ARMA" for Turkish Army 6x6 vehicle requirement

    4. And Taiwan has developed CM32, which is based on AV81/82 design:
