The surge of illegal immigrant minors rushing over the Rio Grande threatens to overwhelm the Texas Border Patrol, and new figures show the unexpected development will cost U.S. taxpayers more than $2 billion this year, 1200 WOAI news reports.The unemployment rate is 6.3%.
More than 1,000 unaccompanied immigrant children are arriving in the U.S. each week, according to figures released by the Department of Homeland Security, and some 60,000 are expected to arrive in the U.S. this year. That is up ten times just since 2011.
U.S. Rep Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo), who represents a large portion of the border where the waves of unaccompanied children are arriving, says the situation is out of control.
"The Border Patrol is telling me, we need diapers, we need baby seats, so we can transfer them," he said.
Some of the unaccompanied children are as young as three years old. More than 1,000 have been sent to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, and others are being sent to other locations far from the border because the flood has left Border Patrol housing facilities packed.
Cuellar says the flood of unaccompanied minors is costing taxpayers $252 per day per child.
What they don't tell you is that the labor participation rate is at a 36 year low. What does that mean? It means we don't have enough jobs for the people we already have, much less for a new flood of illegal immigrants.
Spare me your table pounding about this being a humanitarian crisis. Its not. This is an economic move designed to put even more people on the dole and to change the Southwestern States to Democrat.
I was neutral on the issue of illegal immigration but stuff like this gets my hair up and I'm going to start opposing it until they can at LEAST secure the damn border.
This is bullshit.
You would presume that nation with the most powerful military on the world and one of the biggest and high tech security agency's would be able to keep watch over own borders. This is rather ridicules, build a fraking wall, put automated sec stations, reinforce border guards with some vets and do that shit.

DeleteThere's more here than building a political base of support. It's more than economics. It's about the grand transformation (de-development) of the United States.
If we really wanted to help folks in South/Central America we would be helping them clean up their governments, build economies/infrastructure, and increase economic opportunities. Dragging the American People down to third world status isn't going to help anyone--quite the opposite.
Stop giving them welfare.
ReplyDeleteFine and or seize the assets of those who work illegal immigrants. Use the proceeds from the fine and or auction to fund deportation. If you want to make that more fun, offer a 5% reward to those who turn them in.
Oh, and repeal section I of the 14th amendment. Just being born here is not enough to make you a citizen...
On the contrary, give them welfare in exchange of "Good Conduct Bonds". You can write whatever you want in those good conduct bonds and enforce them to the hilt. More people doesnt mean less jobs, it means more jobs to take care of a larger population base. Just give them the same chances and opprotunities that you have gotten all along and see if in a generation or 2 they wont rival you in economic power.
DeleteDon't send them back to the south, bring them up here to the north of Alberta Canada where we need them to work in the rigs of oil and gas. After 2 months if they survive they will return by themselves to the south.

Get some more experienced Indians from Oman, Saudi, Abu Dhabi etc. and we'll man up those rigs in no time. Already UAE has only 30% of its population as native Emirati Citizens with the 70% bulk consisting of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Phillipines. We'd love some new territory after having colonized Dubai.

I saw a report where they are arresting 2000 a day. Heck most are turning themselves in since they know they won't be deported anytime soon and may get amnesty. Another big thing to think about is the jihadists movement that is growing in Mexico. This is an old news report, but is still relevant, since the Feds have done nothing to correct the situation.

On a lighter note, you should be thankfull that Mexicans are migrating to the USA. You wont rival China with a piddly 300 million or so citizens. You need to bulk up. Cheap Mexican labour is exactly what you need to revive your own mamufacturing industries. And anyway, what goes around. comes around, let the real natives of the American continent reclaim what they have been loosing since 1492 i think.

Your very own General Christopher Bogdan has eastern european ancestry with the name Bogdan also belonging to the chief Sukhoi-50 test pilot in russia. Unless the US gives a written law stating its preference to Only White Immigrants from Europe, let the mexicans come as well.
