  3. So when I posted back on TTmedical's comment on a new Israeli Wheeled infantry carrier and about it being released in an overcrowded wheel market, I had no Idea this is the vehicle the Israelis were building. Uber ground clearance, big wheels etc. It actually looks like something Red Bull adventure sports would build. I am just imagining hundreds if not thousands of these vehicles in the hands of infantry with specialized variants like 81/120mm mortar carriers, ATGM launchers etc. Its like their defence ministry actually carefully studied all those terrorists and tribals reaping havoc on their Toyota's and asked themselves..............where is our equivalent in both vehicle and tactics. This vehicle and the resulting practicing will deliver those tactics. TTmedical could be right.............a jewish mongol hoard......lol.

    1. Trying to maximize commercial parts in this vehicle would be icing on the cake. Ask any third world country their biggest fears in a conflict and they all say......Sanctions by Developed world countries severly limiting their military. Not with commercial off the shelf components anymore. I mean, where would all those African Tribal Toyotas be if it werent for cheap spare parts. If Original equipment manufacturers like ohlins, delphi, metzeler, oshkosh cant source those parts, your own little local industry will gladly take up the task.

    2. I just wanted to add to my previous post that the device on the bonnet in front is a radar detector made by RADA, Israel and the Remote weapon station on top contains a MAG 7.62 and the two "tubes" are part of the Bright Arrow (Based on Iron Fist) protection system for launching anti-missile/RPG munitions. The turret weighs 250 kg. (info from IMI website). I visited the expo during the Fire Conference of the IDF Artillery Corps two weeks ago and saw the latest Elbit 120 mm computer assisted mortar that was installed on a HUMMVE! These two vehicles slashing forward through defenses (perhaps with Merkava 4 helping with the breakthrough) and spreading out in the rear in a reminder of the German Blitzkrieg in the early forties in the West and in the East. Maybe a new chapter in armored warfare???

    3. See...this is why in Solomons previous post...The Future Tank, I made an observation on the lighter side of the issue........."Either that or we just wait for the next Full Blown Arab-Israeli conflict and then use what the Israelis do". Its exactly this kind of "Jugaad" as we say in Hindi, that makes the Israeli weapons industry stand out amongst all the other defence biggies. They might not come up with a completly new or revolutionary weapon but the treatment they give to existing weapons and tech. is amazing

    4. As a person experienced in this kind of "Business" (yes, fortunatly or unfortunatly, Defence is a Business) I can see the difference between a Bureau designed weapon and a Warrior designed weapon.
