The difference between riot police and armed thugs in Ferguson.

Pics are from the Business Insider...

Missouri State Police

St. Louis County Police
The above pics show you everything you need to see.  State Police showed up in standard riot control gear.  County Police showed up with their SWAT team acting as if they were about to conduct a raid.

Question.  At Bundy Ranch you had militias showing up armed for combat.  Federal Law Enforcement backed off.  In Ferguson you had rioters throwing rocks and bricks (reports of gunfire, molotov cocktails and shooting at helicopters has been stated by the Police Chief but unconfirmed by ANY of the news media on the scene) yet the police acted and were equipped as if they were going to war.  I wonder why?

  1. Its all just a fantasy for these cops. You can see the cop in front is complacent with himself

  2. Yep, Missouri State Police is what they have to send: police officers with police uniforms and riot gear, and I'm sure, the training to face crowd control situations.
Then you have the others and it's just what besstrd said, a guy living in a fantasy dream where he is the uber commando-special force operator fighting the bad guys...event if they are unarmed civilians. Or worst, a guy who want to do law enforcement using fear and police-state tactics, using military gear and weapons to put the civilians under the jackboot.

  4. Show of Force is absolutely right.
Two dogs meet, the smell each others ass and growl, show teeth and bristle up, the dog that shows the most force capable wins the encounter without an actual fight.
Kinda like a Law enforcement Haka.
