Unknown History. The builder of the famous "Higgins Boat" designed a wheeled amphibious vehicle!

Pics indicate that the vehicle was undergoing testing at the end of WW2. That means that the LVT was firmly entrenched as the mechanized landing craft of the Marine Corps.  But the history doesn't lie.  There was an idea fairly early on of a wheeled amphibious vehicle, it just didn't get adopted till 2018.
