Yesterday one of our #F35 performed the Worlds first Shipborne Rolling Vertical Landing.
With this capability @thef35 can land with increased fuel and munitions load resulting in less wastage.

Ok. No slamming, I just don't understand. Why is this such a big deal? Would they really need to dump fuel and weapons (that weren't used on the mission)? Or is this a capability with no real world applications?
