IDF Armor & Artillery...

Note.  Got myself oriented and I'm back at it.  Appreciate your patience, understanding and dare I say it...your tolerance.  Having said that I was taking a spin round the internet and ran across the IDF Flickr Page.  Interesting place.  Why?  Cause they're REAL heavy on smiling soldiers but real weak on military gear/exercises.  Wanted to verify what I was seeing so I went to other IDF social media and it was the same.  For whatever reason it appears to my eye that the IDF is doing the current USMC model.  Kinder and gentler.  If I'm right (and I dare you to verify my observations) then I have to wonder what the hell!  Are they still defenders of their nation?
