Reader AL Z hit me with an e-mail suggesting the name James Webb for SecDef. A quick twirl thru Twitterverse revealed that there is a small whisper campaign for the dude too.

Don't know.
I do know that he shares some of the same concerns as Trump with regard to US interventions world wide. I'm not sure how he feels about China, or Combatant Commanders, or Russia, or any number of issues.
Interesting choice. I can't wait to see a list of names chosen for the position but they shouldn't be another status quo type candidate. I think that was the problem with Mattis. Trump arrived on the scene to change things. Mattis was a champion of keeping it the same.
This will be interesting to watch.
