So Congress passed and the President signed an act to give govt workers backpay.

You do get the force of connection right?

This govt shutdown just turned into a paid vacation.  Oh and spare me the drama about people living from paycheck to paycheck.  Any major bank in the nation will float short term (probably no interest) loans to REAL DEAL workers.

So what is the pressure to reopen the govt now?

Hold out for the wall.  Don't use or assume measures that are extraordinary just make Congress do its job and work the problem.  Unfettered immigration into the US from all over the world!
