Need confirmation, but a little birdy landed on my window sill and passed info that th AAV-SU had been killed in the 2020 defense budget.

The same was thought in Somalia.  Remember Super 61 and Super 64 and consider the fact that those were the most technologically advanced Black Hawks in our nation's inventory and they were still shot down.

Add a few skyscrapers and people shooting down into the cabin, rotor blades and gear boxes of these helicopters...plus up the operation from a Delta sized affair to a Marine or Army Battalion/Brigade and think about the chaos that we're bringing to the party, much less the friction that the enemy will add.

But you still want to fight in cities?

Pass the popcorn, beer and some rosary beads...I'll be getting drunk and praying for all you crazy/batshit stupid bastards....

China's new all terrain tracked vehicle...

A caption accompanying the photograph identified the vehicle, which is painted in PLAGF camouflage, as “an all-terrain crawler-type ammunition supply vehicle attached to a ship group of a coastal defence brigade with the army under the [People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA’s)] Eastern Theatre Command”.

Although it is unclear which Chinese company manufactures the new carrier, the vehicle to some extent resembles the JY813 all-terrain carrier manufactured by China’s Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics, but also appears to be based on the DT series of articulated tracked carriers produced by Russian company Vityaz.

Over the years China has also acquired an undisclosed number of BAE Systems Hägglunds’ Bv 206 all-terrain tracked carriers, with images emerging in 2010 showing some of these vehicles in use with the Chinese forestry service and the PLAGF. Chinese television coverage indicated that the Bv 206 entered service with the PLAGF after BAE Systems acquired Hägglunds in 2004.

Again I know you guys are gonna be pissed but someone has to ask the question.  Oh and remember this.  This was the beginning of the war. SOCOM was at the height of its power.  Everyone was rested.  These were the elite.  No watered down standards and everyone was damn near handpicked.

If this happened when they were at their best then what has gone on since that we haven't heard about.

CMI Defence - CSE 90LP 90mm Main Gun Turret

Is the 90mm cannon the weapon I'm looking for when it comes to arming the ACV?  I think we need something heavier than the 30 but the 120 comes with a huge price.

What do we need bigger than a 30mm for anyway?  Infantry support!  Not tank killing but supporting the infantry...well killing enemy IFVs would be nice too.

If we're wedded to the idea that the main gun on an IFV is used for supporting infantry and our anti-tank missiles will be our primary tank killers then how can you NOT seriously look at the 90mm as the real solution?

By my way of thinking its probably the OPTIMUM solution!
