Former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Monday denied that he undermined President Trump, after former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley said in a new book that Tillerson told her he resisted Trump to “save the country.”
“During my service to our country as the Secretary of State, at no time did I, nor to my direct knowledge did anyone else serving along with me, take any actions to undermine the President,” Tillerson said in a statement to The Washington Post.

I always wondered about Nikki Haley. Always thought she was cunning but I never knew about her aspirations.
Today I have no doubt.
Nikki is gonna make a run for President.
How do I know?
Cause this interview is nothing but a cleansing of her record and a move back to the center of Republican politics.
The problem that "never Trump" Republicans are facing is simple. How do you regain the base after bashing the man that they picked for the last 4 years? Even worse for them? From my seat this impeachment battle isn't about illegality on the part of the President. No. This is something more sinister than a rookie not knowing how the game is played in Washington. This is about a now CONFIRMED deep state attempting to exert policy over the objectives of the President of the United States.
In other words they know better than the elected leader of this nation.
Not only did they think they knew better but they determined that their view points would prevail over any policy determination that he made.
It explains a few things.
* Why was a withdrawal from Syria fought so viciously?
* Why is the idea of continued participation in conflicts in Syria, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and North Africa allowed to continue over the objectives of the American people?
Simple.
Because those that see themselves as our masters want it to!
We are Romans and we're being fed bread and given circuses while the elite plan their power plays.
But back to Nikki.
She figured it out. She knows that a "beltway" Republican won't win. A never Trumper doesn't stand a chance. Quite honestly those people will either hide their real views now or they'll be relegated to the democrat party.
She wants to be president and she's positioning herself for either a run or a seat at the table.
