F-22 carrying 9 air to air missiles internally?

Photoshop or real?  I don't know.  Thought the Cuda was dead and the AIM-260 is still a way's off.

What's going on here????

World Health Organization warns against the "Chinus Virus" but said nothing when Ebola was the danger...

Rant.

Fuck this dude.  The world is in the middle of a REAL war against a disease and this bastard is worried about wording of what you call it?  How about he focus on doing his damn job and after the dust has settled get into virtue signalling!

This pisses me off.

No one complained, said one word or cared when Ebola was the danger.  I heard it all and said nothing.  I watched the measures taken (by then President Obama) and wondered (along with other citizens) why we would import the disease.

This is no different.

Wanting to safeguard your home or homeland IS NOT equal to racism.  Work the problem.  Solve the problem.  Then you can move on to false moralizing.

What kicked all this off?

Trump has been well behaved of late and he appears to be tossing tons of money at the problem and following the advice of medical officials.

To face a backlash over this issue smacks of politics.  This is truly pathetic behavior on the part of whoever is involved.

Mueller's "evidence" against the Russians a myth?

Note.  Deviating a bit cause the world keeps spinning and when everyone else is focused on the coronavirus that means that real news is being released while we're all distracted.  Check out the Tweets below and judge for yourself.

Ominous as hell....UK coronavirus crisis 'to last until spring 2021

Note.  Ok.  If this projection is true then NOW I GET why authorities are jumping thru their behinds.  If the Brits are right then we're looking at a mini/half Spanish Flu type scenario (assuming it ends in the Spring of 2021).  What I wonder is how long these draconian measures will be required, how hard the second hit will be and how the economy will respond to an extended period of forced lower activity.

via Guardian.
The coronavirus epidemic in the UK will last until next spring and could lead to 7.9 million people being hospitalised, a secret Public Health England (PHE) briefing for senior NHS officials reveals.

The document, seen by the Guardian, is the first time health chiefs tackling the virus have admitted that they expect it to circulate for 12 more months and lead to huge extra strain on an already overstretched NHS.

It also suggests that health chiefs are braced for as many as 80% of Britons becoming infected with the coronavirus over that time.

Prof Chris Whitty, the government’s chief medical adviser, has previously described that figure as the worst-case scenario and suggested that the real number would turn out to be less than that. However, the briefing makes clear that four in five of the population “are expected” to contract the virus.

The document says that: “As many as 80% of the population are expected to be infected with Covid-19 in the next 12 months, and up to 15% (7.9 million people) may require hospitalisation.”
Here.

It just occurred to me that the US obviously has run the same projections and come to the same conclusion.  Now the closing of schools, sporting events etc makes sense.

I guess even at this late date they're trying to take a huge hit now to save a bigger hit later.

But what does this mean?

Virus lifts in July with a major rebound if everything works right.  Millions unemployed and stores remain closed till 2021 if it doesn't?

Brit AJAX IFV Ground Missile Variant?

Ya know if done correctly this type system will have a number of applications. From being capable of engaging small boats/patrol craft, to perhaps knocking down low flying aircraft (if they build in the capability), of course anti-tank/vehicle and attacking fortifications.

Not a popular concept currently but I see promise.

The sad reality of the coronavirus...

We're losing because people had already been infected with a much more serious malady.  People got infected with normalcy bias.

What did that lead to?

Panic buying.  Shortages of basic items.  Poor communications about what is being faced by the citizens of the Western world.  Business closures.  School closures...etc...

If we had acted sooner.  If the "everything is fine" people ignored, then we wouldn't be where we're at now.

We're losing because most people refuse to believe what their eyes are showing them and would rather bask in the fantasy that all is well.

Pandemic to last till July or August if everything works right?

Geez.  This is crazy!  Many of you said I was insane to suggest that this thing could lead to a worldwide depression.

If this thing lasts till July or August then that's EXACTLY what we will be facing.

I was beginning to doubt my instincts a bit.  This new tidbit of information tells me I was ahead of the curve and that many of you suffer normalcy bias.

Yeah.  You can die in a horror film because you ignored the obvious.  Not me.

Europe closing all external borders for 30 days...

Amazing.

It took a freaking virus for the EU to butch up.  Just plain wow.  A little late but maybe it can still work for them.

Wonder if that snail eating son of a bitch will apologize after criticizing the US for doing the same about a week ago.

UPDATE.  Actions by the EU, Russia, China, the US and others of closing their borders to foreigners is the first leg of the stool of globalism being kicked out. If we slip into a deep recession/depression will kill this thing outright ... at least till they try it again.

Grandma don’t mess about

UK-NL Amphibious Task Group...

Note.  Never considered this Group.  You take the UK-NL Amphibious Group, couple it with a MEU and suddenly you have a powerful, multinational, amphibious force able to take on HUGE array of tasks.  Reinforce it not with additional US forces, but with just Italian capabilities and you're starting to look at a force that can sail up to the shores of many nations and take on standing armies.

Do briefings on coronavirus actually go like this?
