Lynx Strikes Back via Breaking Defense...

 



Have you noticed something here?  They've changed a bit.  They seem to have wandered away from that modularity that the Boxer claims (with all the parasitic weight it brings) and have moved toward "mission kits".  From the looks of things they've simply extended the turret ring and adapted it to be able to hold different kit in an extended/raised roof.

Pretty smart and infinitely better solution than the nonsense the Boxer uses.

Let's put a pin in this coronavirus debate. What is the middle ground on this issue?

 


Let's put a pin in this coronavirus debate (until something new hits...alot of stuff on the news is recycled gloom and doom).  What is the middle ground on this issue?

Some (me included) think the solution to this virus is worse than the disease...mass quarantine! I want something different.  If you're vulnerable then you stay at home.  If you're well then you get on with life. Nothing closes.  The vulnerable are quarantined.  The fit aren't put on house arrest.

Others say that the govt must PROTECT US!  We're in this together so if it spikes in New York City or the Western states then all of us should shelter in place and the whole nation shut down.  

Is there a middle ground on all this?  I wonder cause I had a reader state that they have little faith this anti-viral will actually work because we have historically had NO success with them.

This issue whether we like it or not is to accept the fact that this is like other major debates we're having in this country.

There is no middle ground.

Hopefully someone here has one that will sing to us all.

Is the govt's response to this mild virus setting us up to get clobbered by a bigger, deadlier one?


I don't agree with many things this guy has to say.  This video got my attention though.

The basics?

Because of the govt's response to this mild virus, the American people will basically ignore them when inevitably a more deadly one comes along.

I agree with that.

The bigger problem is that it won't just be here in the US but worldwide.  By chance or planning we're going to see an equivalent to the Spanish Flu and this one ain't it.

The next one will be real.  It will be deadly.  It will probably put a large part of the human population in the grave.

Why?

Because policy makers went overboard on the little one, setting the big one up to gobble us all.  But its more than govt.  Scientist, medical personnel, activists, journalists and our fellow citizens will all be to blame when people ignore them crying wolf for a third time.
