Olight Sigurd Angled Grip Light....I scored one and will let you know how it works on my truck gun.

Why?

Not much real estate on a AR-15 pistol with a 7in barrel.  The Olight Sigurd gives me a chance to clear some space and add other necessary goodies.

Is it worth it?  Don't know yet.  Ordered it, waiting for it to hit and see how it runs.  I'm hopeful but for some reason Olight isn't much liked in the gun community.

We will see what we'll see!

Russia is pounding Odessa with Iranian suicide drones...

key areas in southern Ukraine came under attack from a number of Iran-supplied Shahed-136 'kamikaze' or 'suicide' drones today. It is by far the most high-profile and concentrated use of these types of weapons by Russian forces. Video evidence also emerged in recent hours showing an Iranian Mohajer-6 medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle being recovered from the water by Ukrainian forces, serving as the drone’s first recorded sighting on the Ukrainian battlefield.

The evidence of Mohajer-6’s presence was shared by the Southern Air Command of the Ukrainian Air Force. Up until now, only Shahed-136s had been spotted in Ukraine, making it so the recent Mohajer-6 retrieval would confirm that both Iranian drones were included in deliveries from Iran to Russia that had occurred earlier this month. This matches our report on what drones would likely end up being used by Russia in Ukraine as part of a deal between Iran and Russia that had been in the works since at least July. The employment of these Iranian drones has the potential to disrupt the conflict in multiple ways. You can read more about this in our previous feature here.

The Russians are going after Odessa.

Interesting.

Earlier in the war I said that capturing Odessa was the final goal of the invasion and that they would consolidate their positions after they captured that prize.

Things have changed.

The new goal?

I believe they're going after the weak underbelly of the West.

Inflation.

We've seen high gas prices.  We've seen a bit of high food prices. But what happens when the undeveloped world has a source of food removed, AND the West is forced to pay sky high prices for food mixed with continued high energy prices.

Sauce for the goose as far as Russia is concerned?

If they keep this up they'll certainly aid in delivering a death blow to the Dem party and especially Biden.  The same will apply to many govts in Europe.

What about Iran?  Some probably think that we can lure them away from supporting Russia with the nuclear deal.

Ain't gonna happen and they were allowed to get too far down the road.  The RUSSIANS will make sure they acquire nukes, and the Iranians will give them more drones than they can handle.

A hottie explains the danger of boxing Putin in...

As a Russian immigrant, I understand something that many Americans simply don’t. And that’s that Putin’s back-slide in Ukraine is actually a bad thing. Not a good one. Because the last thing the world ever wants to see is a desperate Vladimir Putin.

You got the good.

You got the eye candy, but I hope you're hearing her words. I don't think anyone is thinking this thru.

I don't know where this will end but things are heading from bad to worse.

This thing is ramping up and despite some of the non-sense I've heard on these pages, the Russians have been restrained. Many point to atrocities carried out.  Ok.  I get that but blame the officers in the field for lack of control.

I'm talking about obvious targets that have gone untouched. I'm talking about a capital that has not been ravaged by long range fires.

IT IS A TWO WAY RANGE!  Ukraine has been hit but despite it all we have yet to see total warfare waged against its people.

I think that's coming and I think it will be bad.

Note.  I think many here have no idea of what total warfare looks like.  We've been involved in insurgencies for so long that historic memory has faded.  Let me repeat.  Think Dresden.  Think Hiroshima.  Think of the destruction that those cities faced then think about what we've seen here.  The "law of war" go out the window when it becomes a fight for national survival.  Russia is quickly approaching that point and few here seem to understand that.  At the start this was to preserve a buffer between Russia and NATO.  Now its becoming a fight to preserve his country. In that light NOTHING is off the table for a semi nationalist like Putin (semi because the hardcore nationalist will chill your blood if you see what they're saying!).

Best day? Jump day?

You can muscle thru damn near anything but there are actually some crazy fucks that actually enjoy this. Going out the door you get the sideways motion which quickly moves onto that (from your view) falling forward and down, while trying to keep your head together to make sure your canopy is right, then you have to check the LZ, deploy your gear, check the wind, pray to God that you're not going backwards, make sure to look at the horizon and not the ground and then perform a proper PLF. The most hectic few minutes of your life and some people actually enjoy that shit. I'll never understand it.

NATO establishing an additional 4 Battlegroups.

NATO already has 8 Battlegroups. They're building 4 more. Add that info to the announcement the other day that they will begin ramping up production of ammunition and weapons and its hard to imagine that we're not seeing war preparations.
