Hot Spots. Pakistan violates Line of Control (LOC) fires into Indian territory.

Major thanks to Tom for this heads up!

via NDTV.
Srinagar As India celebrated its 65th Republic Day today, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. The Army said that Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing for three hours.
"Today morning at 6:15 am, when it was dark, there was unprovoked firing from Pakistani side. They fired about three RPG rounds and small arms on to the Kaman post (in Uri sector) on the Indian side," General Officer Commanding of 19 Infantry Division Major General Anil Chauhan told reporters.
He said the aim of the firing was apparently to disrupt the peace and tranquility along the LoC.

A couple of things.  First, I think someone in the military blogging community needs to keep track of all the "Hot Spots" around the world.  If US forces aren't going then one of our allies is.

Second.  Is it just me or does it seem like the whole world is burning and no one is paying attention.

  1. Generally firing by Pakistan is done to give cover to ultras who are trying to cross the border in Kashmir. This is part of a recent series of activities. Pakistan focuses on drugs (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/01/22/us-india-pakistan-idUSBREA0L0C220140122.) and fake currency(http://ibnlive.in.com/news/forensic-analysis-nails-pakistans-role-in-printing-fake-indian-notes/441750-3-237.html)to destabilize India and fund for its illegal activities.

    1. its worse than even that. they directly support terrorist organizations and every thing i read pointed to their involvement in the atrocity in India committed by terrorist that your security organizations had to put down...the idea that a nation could support animals that rape a rabi's wife in front of him and then cut off his genitals and then you consider that they were both elderly people and it makes me wonder why all out war hasn't been declared.

  2. World was always burning Sol, that's the human nature. We only care about own backyard, don't give a frak about someone else backyard. In other word, the closer the fire, the more we care.

  3. I'd take any complaint by India about Pakistan with a grain of salt, pending neutral confirmation. It's what India does.
