Re-run. Stryker Lethality Solution
Sorry guys, another political post...EVERYONE was wrong about Trump
via RT.com
Trump's entire term has revealed that virtually everyone, all across the US political spectrum, has been wrong about him. And it's a testament to the power of media echo chambers that for the most part they remain just as wrong about him as they were four years ago.
To this day, even after four years of evidence to the contrary, Trump supporters still believe their president has been ending the wars, draining the swamp, and fighting the Deep State. They believe he's fighting the Deep State even after he imprisoned Assange. They believe he's ending the wars even as he's ramped up cold war aggressions against Russia, killed tens of thousands of Venezuelans with starvation sanctions, vetoed attempts to save Yemen from US-backed genocide, is working to foment civil war in Iran using starvation sanctions and CIA ops with the stated goal of effecting regime change, occupied Syrian oil fields with the goal of preventing Syria’s reconstruction, greatly increased the number of troops in the Middle East and elsewhere, greatly increased the number of bombs dropped per day from the previous administration, killing record numbers of civilians, and reduced military accountability for those airstrikes. They believe he's draining the swamp after packing his cabinet with establishment swamp monsters.
To this day, even after four years of evidence to the contrary, liberals are still convinced that Trump is a servant of Russia who has spent his term advancing the interests of Vladimir Putin. They believe this even as he's been shredding treaties with Russia, bombing the Syrian government and arming Ukraine (both of which Obama refused to do), many sanctions and many other escalations directly against the interests and safety of Russia.
To this day, even after four years of evidence to the contrary, many on the left still continue their frequent claims that Trump is a uniquely fascistic or Hitler-like president, despite his having far fewer deportations than Obama had. And despite the fact that he will with absolute certainty leave office on January 20th after losing an election.
All sides pretended that Trump was a radical deviation from the norm, and so did Trump, when all he actually did throughout his entire time in office was protect the status quo just like his predecessors did. As writer and activist Sam Husseini recently put it, "Trump is the opposable thumb of the establishment. He looks like he’s on the opposite side, but he just helps it grab more."
If you can get past the source (still don't understand why everyone has issues with Russian news sources but to me its just like reading something from a European or Chinese or even American news source...to be always viewed with a nuanced eye...we're living in the land of mirrors and those mirrors are everywhere) this is a very compelling take on the Trump years.
Comment please.
I'd love to know your thoughts on this.

His plan ain't dead but this is a big ass nail in it's coffin. This is what happens when you act rashly ... as in before you have the funding together!
I'm sure he'll beg for the money back in a supplemental but Biden isn't as "hostile" or perhaps better said "realistic" about China as Trump is so I can see a non-preparatory course being steered by his administration.
By that I mean appeasement...not getting ready for the fight.
Boxer RCH 155 Howitzer testing resumes...
First firing of revised RCH155 howitzer last week. Development is on track despite Covid-19 restrictions. Note how much more compact the turret is. Next challenge is to demonstrate the mobility of the platform. pic.twitter.com/rYXuWVF6O9

I guess this is good news but I don't understand WHY IN GOD'S NAME you would use this platform for artillery!
Use a high mobility truck for the deed and save the taxpayer at least a few dollars with no loss in capability, a bit more flexibility and probably cost savings that extend beyond just buying the platform.
Republicans should get into wartime mode?
“We need to go a little bit into a sort of wartime mode.”@DineshDSouza said conservatives need to go into “wartime mode,” calling the current situation in the US a “domestic cold war” and says the political left has become “gangsterized.” https://t.co/tgjHbtrkgN

Forgive me on all the politics and vaccine talk lately but its been kinda front and center lately. I'm trying to maintain balance and not take us in a different direction but I think the blogs mission kinda applies to the subject matter we're talking about here. In this case. Domestic security.
My worry? The rhetoric is picking up on both sides of the political spectrum.
NO! I don't expect a civil war!
But I do think we'll see individuals self activate to carry out domestic terrorism. The size of those attacks, potential targets, participants, etc...? I have no idea but I am starting to see a bit more of this and its going from background noise to something that needs to be monitored.
Nexter delivers the 128th Griffon to the French Armed Forces....
via Nexter Press Release
On December 18, 2020, the temporary group of companies (GME) armored multi-role vehicle (EBMR), formed by Nexter, Thales and Arquus, presented to the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) the 128th GRIFFON scheduled for 2020. Under the terms of the SCORPION program and despite an unprecedented health crisis that deeply affected production, the three manufacturers were able to rise to the challenge and meet their contractual objectives.
After this stage, the last GRIFFONS must be submitted to verification operations carried out by the quality service of the DGA. The vehicles will then be taken to the Canjuers site where the Army will take them into account; it is then that the DGA can formally accept them. To date, 90 GRIFFON have completed this course, in addition to the 92 GRIFFON delivered in 2019. From January 2021, the last vehicles leaving the line in December will join them in the regiments, catching up very early in the year 2021 the delay linked to the health crisis.
From March 2020, Covid-19 has in fact greatly disrupted the industrial organization of the program. The Roanne site, where the GRIFFON and JAGUAR are assembled, was forced to suspend its activity from March 20 to 30 in order to allow the establishment of a structure suitable for resuming activity under maximum security conditions. . Since then, two teams have followed one another on the lines in shifts of eight consecutive hours (2x8) to ensure operation during these 16-hour days.

Quick hit. Does it make sense to give the vaccine to healthcare workers first?
Quick and dirty ya'll.
Does it make sense to give this rushed vaccine to healthcare workers first? I mean a LITTLE risk management says that you want the backbone of the nation's medical field up and on their feet if this thing goes sideways right?
If the worst case scenario occurs and this thing gives some type of unforeseen side affects that are long term, deadly, debilitating or all of the above then we could see ourselves in a bigger pickle than we are now.
Additionally everyone forgets one simple thing.
Do you remember when Trump first announced this "Warp Speed" initiative? What did we hear? Basically the news media was saying that it was being rushed and was only so he could get re-elected, all kinds of officials on the left said that they wouldn't take a rushed vaccine and that we needed to (paraphrasing) do this thing by the numbers and to expect the virus to linger into 2022.
Now?
Now all is well and we should roll up our sleeves and get injected. Simply amazing!

The US Army's Regionally Aligned Readiness and Modernization Model

Wow.
This will be interesting. Looks like the Army is about to do a "Berger" to their force but in a more pragmatic (I hope) way.
They're gonna shed forces (certain combat power) but they're going to regionally focus their forces.
What does that mean?
I think my prediction for the 25th ID is spot on. They're gonna be tailored to fight China. That means long range artillery, anti-ship missiles, more airmobile/airborne, concentration of landing craft so they can shoot from islands too (without having to ask the Navy for a ride...they might even buy some of those small amphibs!) etc...
A tank heavy/mech force for the Middle East and Europe and only God knows what for Africa (I can actually see them going for a reinforced 173rd, maybe more aviation assets...Africa is HUGE). On second thought I would probably see them adding a Stryker Brigade to that mix, maybe two.
Regardless this is gonna be interesting.
My question.
How do all the services (with NO exceptions) expect to build a new force when covid is gonna see us practically mired in a recession and the economy limping back?
Do they really think the American people of ANY political persuasion will back increased defense budgets over what we have now?
How is the Pentagon gonna pay for all this?
