USMC Air Wing. Transport for US Army Special Forces... USMC Ground Forces. Perimeter security for missiles...

Drink in the future of the Marine Corps. The EABO is a logistics point for the warfighters in the Army, Air Force and Navy. Marine Corps ground forces provide perimeter security for missiles and the wing provides transport for Army Special Forces and Infantry. The USMC is becoming a pure logistics force with a missile firing capability. The Marine Corps as we've known it is dying. Not quite dead but Berger has at least two more years and he's moving fast....Amphibious Assault is already dead.  The MAGTF is already dead.  When the next budget comes out and the terrible 20's hit full force the next thing to die will be end strength.  I'm calling it now.  The USMC will drop to just over 100K by 2030 (probably much much sooner).  It only makes sense.  Personnel costs are the biggest expense our force faces.  NOTE!  We're not seeing any reduction in Commands, Joint Billets etc.  That will come at the end and that's when Generals will finally speak up.  If things were done properly in the DoD, the Marine Corps would lose its seat on the JCS now!  We've become an auxiliary to the US Navy.

Why bother with the Marine Corps when with one call to the Army you get a Brigade Combat Team that gives it all...(MUST WATCH VIDEO!!!!)

Video: A Marine Corps Without Tanks? | Military Times Reports

Hey Gents!

Click the link and take a few minutes to watch the video!  This guy is pointing out every one of my arguments.

The killer?

Berger is KILLING WITHOUT MERCY the Marine Air Ground Task Force.  The Army is REPLICATING IT with its Brigade Combat Teams!!!

We're throwing away an war winning formation to chase foolish transformation!

What I want to know is this.  Where is the critical thinking from Generals, Colonels, SgtMajors and others in leadership on this thing!  Why are they silent when NOW IS THE TIME TO BE HEARD!

My guess?

Many, many, many have doubts.  Many more have concerns.  But its easier to keep their heads down rather than state that the emperor has no clothes.

We've seen it before with the F-35.

Many wanted to believe despite the evidence that the program was out of control and was failing horribly (I know cause it took me awhile to buck conventional thinking).

What the Marine Corps needs at this moment is a little courage.  Really the hardest kind of courage.  No.  I'm not asking anyone to charge a machinegun nest or clear a room.  I'm asking that someone have the courage to voice concerns.

One blogger is not enough.

Lockheed Martin UK's Turret fits like a glove on the AJAX (UPDATED)

Note. I originally posted that this turret was the same as for the Warrior. My bro, Ogden Dowcett, set me straight. Both are made by Lockheed Martin UK but they're distinctly different. Ogden pointed out the details but I won't go into that. Suffice it to say. I STAND CORRECTED. It happens. Rough week and bad night.

My questions to the Commandant (I hope Marine Corps Public Affairs is watching!)

I have questions for the Commandant.

Let's get it started and burn thru this thing.  Starting with...

WHAT IF YOU'RE WRONG!  What if the Chinese or another pop up war, happens in a different part of the planet, that isn't close to the water and requires a "whole of the Pentagon" approach to win it?

Can the force you are crafting fight another Desert Storm if called upon?  Would it be useful if the fight in Afghanistan drags on for another 10 years?

How can you claim that this plan will safeguard the future of the Marine Corps when the Army WILL BE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING THE MARINE CORPS CAN (perhaps even better if the V-280 delivers on its promise) only on steroids.

Why would America need a Marine Corps?  Why will it need the Marine Corps you're building?

Can you sense that your organization is adrift at this moment?  Do you really think that you're gonna be able to leave the Marine Corps in better shape than you found it?

Do you not see the yanks and banks the past Commandants (to include yourself) have taken us thru?

Are you that convinced that the computer simulations you ran are so accurate and your reading of the future so clear that the MANY risks you're taking is worthwhile?

There is a ton more.

He won't answer me.  I get that and I'm not even pissed.  But he needs to climb out of the foxhole he has dug behind his desk and start addressing the Marines, the Media and the Country on why his RADICAL change is a good thing for America and the Corps.
