This sat me back in my chair.

I originally did a retweet of an article explaining the "new" Marine Rifle Squad and the rationale behind it (new information leads to new conclusions...I like what I heard!).

So when Cobb hit me with that I was gobsmacked by how simple, even elegant and common sense an idea it was.

Then I thought a little more.

We've seen that shit! Remember Aliens? Remember when the Colonial Marines went into the processing plant to search for the missing colonist?

Remember when that idiot LT was trying to call the shots from the rear via views of cameras attached to the helmets of his troops instead of being in the muck with them?

I'm betting we have that technology now! I'm betting we could do it now!

Cobb is onto something but it just needs to be tweaked and modified. We need GoPro devices attached to helmets that can be linked to the Squad Leaders tablet!

So simple. So elegant. So fucking cool. Oh and I bet body parts I highly value that its DOABLE!

Wow. You could see that coming especially with the slow motion....dude was low, moving fast and wasn't missing arm day in the gym. WM was hesitant, slow, obviously unsure and got ROCKED!

What surprised me is the reaction of leadership. They weren't only protective of the fallen WM (which I get...you don't want your Marines injured unnecessarily) but they seemed to be chewing on that young devil pup.

Good training. But its kinda obvious that this integration of females into line units is gonna be hard.

I have met some OUTFUCKINGSTANDING WM's. But on a physical level they just don't make the cut.

That LtCol is facing a 5K monster ready to tear out his heart...the news update on his court martial is damning...

That LtCol should have shut his mouth, took a beat to get his shit together, get up and carry the fuck on.

He didn't.

Now he has a raging 5K monster ready to tear his heart out...the monster's name is the UCMJ.

Just heard a quick rundown on his trial...

* made statement supporting the Jan 6 riot.

* was heard and posted saying that "it's time for a revolution"

* continued to post after being told not to

The list went on but that stood out in my mind.

Idiotic jokes aside. It's to the point where (if I was active) I wouldn't dare post anything viewable to the public on social media. Hell I'd even be careful about what I let colleagues see, not to mention superiors.

It's a brave new world now. Service members need to be careful, keep their mouths shut and not assume that everyone agrees with their opinions...no matter what side of the spectrum they're on.

I saw tweets about a certain group getting targeted by a sniper (think that was yesterday), the Army saying that they would target anyone with a weapon and now this? WTF! The weird thing is that supposedly back in the day, Lebanon was beyond beautiful. Bet the old folks that are still around weep for their country everyday.
