They just released one of the Charlotte videos. This is why police are hated.

Wow.  You guys hash this out among yourselves.  I'm not even gonna reply to your comments on this because I don't care what you think.  Seeing this video its easy to understand why the police are viewed as oppressors, revenue generators and generally evil.

To shoot a man down in front of his wife?  To have total control of a vehicle with 4 fellow officers and others arriving but to default to shooting?

This simply looks bad.

Then the news media shows what appears to be police planting evidence AND removing evidence!

Sidenote:  I'm hearing many people say that black people hate white.  Why is that a surprise?  Many white people hate blacks so why shouldn't you hate someone that hates you?  This thing is off the rails.  A woman filmed her husband being shot by cops but there is no sympathy for her.  Amazing.

Note 1:  This is the last I'll write about social issues on this blog.  I'm starting an invitation only setup where open and frake discussions will take place.  So no worries.  You won't read about this stuff anymore on these pages....the social setup is going up as we speak.

V-247? How many more toys does the Wing get to have?

via Breaking Defense.
Bell Helicopter confirmed Thursday what the deputy commandant of the Marine Corps, Lt. Gen. Jon “Dog” Davis, told Breaking Defense a month ago. The company is designing a new tiltrotor drone about the size of the Air Force’s armed MQ-9 Reaper, with similar capabilities, that it hopes the Marines will buy. They call it the V-247 Vigilant, so named because Bell promises that two of the sea-based drones could provide Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) over a given area 24/7.
“Some people call it the 24/7 instead of the 247,” said Vince Tobin, Bell vice president for advanced vertical lift development, formally unveiling the project at a National Press Club news conference. Tobin said it was uncertain when the Marines might put money in their budget for such an aircraft, but one of the questions they’ve been asking Bell, he said, is ‘How fast can you go?” Based on that. he said, “We interpret that as potentially for there to be a near-term need.” Bell, he added, is “already talking to potential suppliers.”
The V-247 is designed to meet the as-yet general Marine Corps requirement known as MUX, an acronym within an acronym standing for Marine Air Ground Task Force Multimission Unmanned Expeditionary. Under MUX, the Marines want their own ship-based, armed ISR drone so they won’t have to depend on land-based Air Force MQ-9 Reapers to support their operations.
Ya know this is turning from comedy to tragedy.  How is Davis still in his job? Why hasn't he been fired for loss of confidence!

The Wing is in shit state, can barely handle the aircraft that they have, are jumping thru hoops to get the F-35 aboard (along with that totally bullshit IOC announcement that tarnished Dunford's rep for honesty) and have maintenance issues that are getting people killed.

Now they want ANOTHER new airplane.

So let me get this straight.  The CH-53K will be eating up money, the MV-22 will still gobble because its readiness rate is jacked up but the buy is coming to an end, by 2023 the F-35 buy is suppose to be in full effect and on top of all of that they want to add the V-247?

I might be wrong but I still believe that Tanks is about to die, Artillery is about to get sliced and I doubt that the ACV progresses....but we're about to buy more toys for the Wing?

Consider this a personal note to the Commandant.

You better know what the fuck you're doing cowboy.  You're totally unbalancing the Marine Corps and jacking with the MAGTF on a theory that some think tank bubba pulled out of his ass.   If they're wrong they just go back to the rear conference room and come up with something new.  If you're wrong then Marines will die.

Neller you son of a bitch, we're all cheering for you but you need to explain yourself and the direction you're taking us.  Right now it seems like Davis has you by the balls and you're scared to make a decision.  Explain your plan to the tribe.  We might disagree but at least we'll understand your thinking.  Right now you seem like a spineless leader getting pushed around by a subordinate.

Everyone tells me you're better than that.  I hope they're right.  If they are then man the fuck up and talk to us!

Interesting.

We've fought fanatical enemies before so why is the current version so hard?  Also of note is the comment by the Japanese Tumblr Blogger.  "Country before self...He maintained his honor".

China vs. Japan is gonna be bloody.

Fight talk. You talk about fighting but can your body handle the pre-fight?

Are you one of those range commandos that have all the latest toys, gucci gear for days, all of it without a hint of dust on it, yet have trouble walking from here to there?  Do you believe that you're ready for the fight?

If so then check out this article from Evolve MMA.
Standing in front of your opponent waiting for him (or her) to affix their coloured anklet or belt, you’re thinking to yourself, "please not now; any other time, but not now!” You feel like you weigh 1,000 kgs. Your arms are made of wood. Your feet are mired in mud and are so heavy you don’t know if you can move them. Your mouth feels like it’s full of cotton. All you can see and hear seems far away. Your hands shake and any fine movement with them is completely out of the question. Your heart feels as if it may leap out of your chest at any moment. After the adrenaline has run its course, you are suddenly more fatigued than you can ever remember. It is unfortunate because you’ve just reached the halfway point of your match.
Did someone drug your coffee?
No, you’re not on drugs. But at the same time, you are under the influence of some of the strongest chemicals your body can handle. You have just experienced an adrenaline dump.

One of the most common obstacles to peak performance in competition (especially for beginner and novice competitors) is the dreaded adrenaline dump. In light of the upcoming BJJ competitions around Asia, it seems appropriate to take some time to examine this phenomenon and look at some ways to overcome this common performance killer.
As a beginner or novice, it is advantageous to prepare as best you can for any and all new circumstances you may encounter. Remember, there are circumstances within your control and there are some that are out of your control. You can’t prepare for every contingency, but there are strategies you can use to increase your chances for success under even the most demanding situations (including the adrenaline dump).
Normally, we very rarely encounter a situation stressful enough to cause an involuntary release of adrenaline. Sometimes though, if we closely avoid a car accident, or stumble on the stairs and catch ourselves at the last minute, we may experience this natural, autonomic response to stress.
The involuntary release of adrenaline is often referred to as the adrenaline rush. Medically, it is more commonly known as the acute stress reaction or the fight-or-flight response. The incidence of the release of adrenaline at an inopportune time is often referred to by competitors as an adrenaline dump, Although this natural reaction produces unwelcome side-effects, we can take steps to prepare ourselves and learn to control the elements of this process.
These unwelcome side-effects include the following:
-Heavy breathing and heart pounding
-Paling or flushing
-Dilation of blood vessels for muscles
-Dry mouth
-Extreme fatigue
My guess is that at least 90 percent of the firearms community isn't ready for the pre-fight...the fight against their own body much less against an assailant.

I won't talk about tactical breathing, but suffice to say that when you see guys looking like they're flexing their chests, they're not trying to do a "muscle display" they're doing a form of what was (don't know if they still call it this anymore) tactical breathing.  Deep controlled breaths to focus the mind, sharpen the spirit and get the body ready for the fight.

So why am I talking about this?  Because I'm reading the web and seeing all those mall ninjas talking about "getting ready for a fight"!  They can't even control their own body and if the fight actually comes to them then they'll either die from a heart attack or last 2.5 seconds before their body gives out on them.

You have to prepare mentally and physically for a fight.  If your focus is only on gear then all you are is a supply point for a more fit individual.

NOTE:  Don't get this twisted.  You don't have to be body beautiful.  This isn't about trying to compete in a bodybuilding stage or to get women to take a second look.  This is about getting ready for a fight.  The best thing you can do?  Control your weight and eat clean.  The number one thing that sees people get skull crushed is when an overweight person engages is sudden, intense physical activity.  Even if you're over 50 it would be a good idea to engage in regular physical exercise.  If you've suffered an injury then you work around it but its no excuse not to work out.  Last, you don't need a gym. I like it because I like weights but without it all you need is about six to eight feet of floor space.  Hershel Walker was a beast and all he did was push ups.  Long short?  There are no excuses if you accept no excuses!

1st Degree Manslaughter for officer in Tulsa. Now your reality check.

By now you've heard that the officer in the Tulsa shooting will be charged with 1st degree manslaughter.

Some will cheer but I need to give you a sobering reality check.

She'll be found not guilty.

Why?

Because all she has to do is explain why she felt her life was in danger....why she pulled the trigger...AND...if it meets the reasonable man standard then she's off.

I could defend her in this case without a law degree and win.

But wait you'll say.  The other officer pulled a taser and not his gun so she's obviously guilty.  To that I say perspective.  Have 10 people see an armed robbery and you'll get ten different views.  No two people see the same things.

But how does she explain shooting a person with their hands up?  Easy again.  I sift police reports nationwide where a person had their hands up supposedly surrendering/complying and the moment the officer relaxes the fight is on.

Face it people.  The DA might have pressed charges but he knows he won't win.  But let's say that he hits that one in a million.  Guess what.  She won't spend a day in jail.  She'll get probation, probably unsupervised or if it is supervised it'll be short.

Like I said earlier. Reality is a bitch.

How does General Davis still have his job????? AV-8B crashes off Okinawa.

Thanks to Jonathan for the link!

via CNN
A US Marine Corps pilot ejected safely when his fighter jet crashed into the waters off the Japanese island of Okinawa, officials said.
The fighter jet, a Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier Jump Jet, departed the Kadena US Air Base and crashed 153 km (95 miles) off Hedo Cape, according to a local coast guard official.
The Japanese coast guard deployed rescue teams at 2 p.m. local time (1 a.m ET) and received a report two hours later that at least one person has been pulled from the crash site
Simple question.

How does Davis still have his freaking job?

Its beyond obvious that Marine Aviation is in shit shape and that his planning/budgeting/prioritizing has been equally shitty.  People lose their commands everyday for less, yet somehow this guy barnstorms the US promoting the F-35 to every Legion Hall, civic group etc...instead of fixing this mess?

Show some balls Neller.  Fire this fucker and get our house in order!  I mean seriously...how many Marines have to die before you acknowledge that there is a serious problem and it starts with leadership?

Chinese announce capability to detect stealth

Thanks to William for the link!

via CNBC.
A top Chinese military technology company shocked physicists around the world this week when it announced it had developed a new form of radar able to detect stealth planes 100km away.

The breakthrough relies on a ghostly phenomenon known as quantum entanglement, which Albert Einstein dubbed "spooky action at a distance".
China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), one of the "Top 10" military industry groups controlled directly by the central government, said on Sunday that the new radar system's entangled photons had detected targets 100km away in a recent field test.
That's five times the "potential range" of a laboratory prototype jointly developed by researchers from Canada, Germany, Britain and theUnited States last year.
America's Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency has reportedly funded similar research and military suppliers such as Lockheed Martinare also developing quantum radar systems for combat purposes, according to media reports, but the progress of those military projects remains unknown.
In a statement posted on its website on Sunday, CETC said China's first "single-photon quantum radar system" had "important military application values" because it used entangled photons to identify objects "invisible" to conventional radar systems.
Nanjing University physicist Professor Ma Xiaosong, who has studied quantum radar, said he had "not seen anything like this in an open report".

"The effective range reported by the international research community falls far below 100km," he said.
A military radar researcher at a university in northwestern China said the actual range of the new radar could be even greater than that announced by CETC.
Story here.

1.  I submit to you that the US military was aware of developments around the world to detect stealth aircraft.  That explains why we're seeing the F-35 touted as a sensor node and NOT as a penetrating aircraft.  Everyone knows that mission is dead.  So the default position is to push the F-35 as a system of systems and for the plane to "play quarterback".  Its utter bullshit but that's the only card left in the deck for the fanboys to play.

2.  The former CNO was right.  Payloads are more important than ever.  So is electronic attack/warfare.  Jammers are back in fashion.  The sooner the air branches of the US and our allies understand that, the sooner they can prepare for the coming big fight.

3.  If the Chinese are posting this in the open press then we can assume one of two things.  Either its all bullshit and propaganda or they're further along than they're telling us.

No matter how you slice it the dream that was the F-35 has turned into a nightmare.  It took too long to develop and while they were trying to get it to work the rest of the world did not stand still.  Is it any wonder that the USAF is already talking about an F-35 replacement?

Whats on your mind?

What has my attention.  Something weird is going on in the Black community.  I told you several months ago that the Black community was "gettable" by Trump...I told you that Obama was not as loved "by the rank and file" as he is by the elite...and now we have the police shootings that are leading to eruptions of violence.

Have you connected the dots?  In Baltimore you had a Black mayor and black chief.  Same in Charlotte.

My guess is that you're seeing a revolt against the "Black leadership" that is being disguised as unrest due to police shootings.  Terrible fact?  More police shootings occurred during the 80's and 90's than today.  The difference?  The economy was MUCH better.  Fast forward to today and what happened.  A Black president ignored the TREMENDOUS loss in personal wealth that happened to all racial groups but hit Blacks much harder and he instead focused on his pet projects instead of fixing the economy.

Trump can win this election.  Things are lining up where if he doesn't win Black voters then they'll sit home instead of coming out for Hillary.  Besides.  If anyone remembers Hillary and Bill's games during that election fight then they'll know that they're some of the most outrageous race baiters this side of the KKK.

Trump as president.  It sounded outrageous in July, but today?  I think its within the realm of possibilities.

Thursday Funny. Hockey must be cooler than I thought!
