The mini-civil war that so many fantasize about might actually hit...

Here

Fucking amazing.

Dude lost his life and his battlefield fantasizes turned to dust in his mouth. Ya know what's crazy.  The ultra right is still talking about black lives matter when I'm looking at all the shit in Portland and it was all white on white fighting.

I'm looking at this and its obvious (it was in a couple of other places too) that both sides are armed, a bunch of people have grievances and if there is trouble you'll see many side actors taking advantage of the chaos to rob, rape, steal and deal.

It's a shame.

Many are cracking jokes but give the N. Koreans a little credit on their T-62 mods...

I've noticed a recurring theme when it comes to potentially hostile nations and how many view them.

Take N. Korea for example.

They just had their big parade and with the exception (and probably not even that with some of the stuff I've read) of the mobile ballistic missile (its getting slammed for being liquid fueled), they're being dismissed.

Big mistake.

Take the mods on the T-62.

Looks like something a 14 year old would design?  Seriously?  First it has external anti-tank missiles.  On most tanks I remember people trying to make them fit thru the barrel.  This is a pragmatic, almost elegant solution.  We do it for our IFVs so why not for MBTs?

Additionally I'm seeing band tracks.  That's a nice step forward.  As far as the armor is concerned I have no idea.  What gives me pause though is that it should be obvious to all that the Chinese are giving them AT LEAST limited technical advice (probably more...this nation should have starved to death by now if they weren't helping).  So we should expect that armor to at least be functional and they probably have upgraded FCS too!

My last point is this.

Even though it seems apparent that the S. Koreans easily match the North...while they should EASILY be able to repulse any attack on their nation from the North, they still insist on having US troops on their soil (don't forget though that they have an unusually comfortable relationship with the Chinese so Berger won't be able to put his Missile Marines on their soil in event of war).

The reality is that this "hermit" kingdom will be a tough out.  The North might have outdated weapons but they will get their pound of flesh in a fight.

World Health Organization CONDEMS lockdowns!

 via NEWS.COM.AU

The World Health Organisation has backflipped on its original COVID-19 stance after calling for world leaders to stop locking down their countries and economies.

Dr. David Nabarro from the WHO appealed to world leaders yesterday, telling them to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method” of the coronavirus.

He also claimed that the only thing lockdowns achieved was poverty – with no mention of the potential lives saved.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said.

Here

When it comes to lockdowns I've unabashedly agreed wholeheartedly with Trump. He warned that the cure must NOT be worse than the disease and now the WHO is on that same train.

Lockdowns is not only wrecking the world's economy but its causing poverty.

Medical experts focused on the disease.  It was up to elected officials to balance the issues for their nations.

The elected officials failed because they failed to realize that balance was necessary to properly combat this virus.  This is why you don't listen to so called experts.  They focus so hard on an individual piece that they miss the forest.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

They will cause us frightened idiots.  Long story short?  This whole thing has been a comedy of errors.

Back running after the hurricane..

That's my beast you see above.  Ole girl did me right during the storm.  That's a 4 in lift believe it or not and I'm riding on 33's.  Seriously considering upgrading to a 6in on 35s.

I drove thru water that was to the top of the fender well and she did awesome (I got a bit more than a little nervous!).

We lucked out.  This storm was a rain maker and to my knowledge no one died although we had a SHITLOAD of high water rescues going on.  Hat tip to the National Guard bubbas and Firefighters.

Anyway I'm good.

I put up a little stuff this morning, maybe some more this after but will be back it full force Mon.

Thanks for the well wishes and the prayers up.

The 82nd Airborne will soon have more ground combat power than the Missile Marines. Soak that in...Airborne troops will outgun Marines on the ground.

The 82nd Airborne.

They travel by air, jump from planes, have mobile shock action, operate in Little Groups Of Paratroops (LGOPs...I guess you could say the original dispersed force operating in the enemies engagement zone), they have attack helicopters and dedicated air support by the USAF in the form of A-10 attack aircraft.

They can get there faster than us, have more ground combat power now and operate across the combat spectrum.

What's the point?

The Army is about to get balls deep into the Pacific.  They will do what the Marine Corps is planning and do it on a bigger scale.

This concept is doing nothing.

Not one damn thing.

The Army and Marine Corps will always overlap in mission sets because the fight always eventually goes ashore.  That does not make the Marines a second land army.

The fighting spirit of Marines is what distinguished them from the Army.

Some have forgotten that.

So what is Berger accomplishing?  He's tossing away the most flexible, medium weight combined arms team the world has ever known.  No other force on the planet could replicate what the Marine Corps did.  No one else had so effectively wedded Air-Ground Task Forces like the Marines have.

Now?

Now its soon to be no longer because the guy at the top is chasing ghosts.

Sunday Crazy. The UK is facing a military led coup!

Eitan 8x8

The Israeli Eitan is the best 8x8 IFV currently in production.  Full stop.  Spare me the nonsense about the Boxer.  Its vaunted modularity has yet to be seen used by any operator. The Patria AMV, the General Dynamics Piranha V and a few others all challenge the Boxer for second place.  From my chair the Boxer has it's German reputation hiding its warts.

The sad reality?

The Boxer is really getting a bit long in the tooth. Its design period is from 1998-2009.  It first entered service in 2009.  Compare that to the Stryker.  The Army announced the Stryker Brigade Concept in 1999 and had its first vehicle in service in 2000.

You say that's an unfair comparison?  Ok.  The Stryker is based on the LAVIII.  General Dynamics was approached by the Canadian Army in 1991 and had the vehicle designed and into service with them by 1995.

Long story short?

The Boxer is an old vehicle with great marketing.

Quick post. Make note of how the Marine Corps handles this PFC compared to the piece of shit General Officer in Germany.

Hey folks. Head to Military Times (here) and check out this article on a wayward PFC.

NOTE HOW THE MARINE CORPS HANDLES THIS PFC COMPARED TO THAT PIECE OF SHIT GENERAL OFFICER IN GERMANY!

Marine Corps discipline is a joke.

Want to know what's inherently unfair, unfocused and needs reform?  Check out the General Officer's Club.  Not only do they need an enema but half of them need to be fired for efficiency sake, not only good ole' fashioned common sense!

Sidenote.  We're watching Berger!  We're watching!

Thanks to Toni Hawk for the vid!

13 charged in plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

 via CNN

Thirteen people were charged Thursday in an alleged domestic terrorism plot to kidnap Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, federal and state officials announced.

The alleged scheme included plans to overthrow several state governments that the suspects "believe are violating the US Constitution," including the government of Michigan and Whitmer, according to a federal criminal complaint.

Six people were charged federally with conspiracy to kidnap, and seven other people, associated with the militia group "Wolverine Watchmen," were charged by the state, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.

Don't get this twisted gents.  I do not in anyway condone this stuff.

But let's get actual and factual.

How many of these governors that inacted these DRACONIAN lockdown orders do you think will be re-elected?  How many people do you think suffered tremendous psychological damage due to the lockdown?  How many people do you think have suffered a deterioration in their health because they were unable to get medical treatment because hospitals for a time were not seeing patients?  How many children are gonna suffer incacuable emotional/developmental damage because they were not allowed to go to school?

In short.

What did you expect when you in essence place almost the entire nation on house arrest?

Blowback should have been expected.  I don't know for sure but from what I remember some of the restrictions she put in place were bordering on the petty.

Does that justify this plot?

FUCK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually expected her to get curb stomped in the next election, not for a group to plot her kidnapping (in reality this probably makes her sympathetic to some of the electorate in the state).

But putting all that to the side, one thing is certain.

The USA is suffering some severe trama from this whole covid thing and the real problem is that the real economic pain for us and the rest of the world has yet to begin.

2020 sucked.

I fear 2021 won't be any better.

Light blogging...gotta work another hurricane...

Gotta love it.

Little to no blogging for a bit. Yeah, you guessed it. Another fucking hurricane. This year definitely is sucking. I can't even begin to tell ya about the drama with this stuff. The Dept sent people down to work the last one and now we're gearing up for this one in our own backyard.

We definitely are living in interesting times.

The crazy thing for me is that I thought I was far enough North to avoid the worst of it but projected wind gusts are up to 110mph and we're expecting 10-15 inches of rain. Thank God for a 4x4 Ford Bronco with a 351 Windsor (don't get it twisted, its a 95) with a 4 inch lift on 33's!

Anyway send prayers up for the community. We got people in the area that live in what we call "shotgun" houses and trailers and I'm actually a bit concerned for many of them.

The Turkish Air Force is actively participating in the fighting? That adds a new spin to thing!

Wow.

 This explains alot!

I've been personally been wondering why the Armenians have been getting rolled so hard.  I've been wondering why they've been getting pummeled from the air.

The Turks are playing the "Advisor" & "Fighter" role.  Could this turn into a Vietnam in Europe for them?  I doubt it.  The EU, and/or US and/or Russia will probably soon step in to put a halt to this thing.

Group of Azeri soldiers try to retreat then Armenian mortar scores direct hit

I had a moment of hesitation with regard to this post and a few others I've done recently. Is it wrong to post images of men fighting and dying? Then I realized that this is part of war that isn't shown and most nations attempt to hide. The savagery of the wars in the Middle East, Afghanistan and N. Africa isn't shown.

The willful ignorance of so many citizens in the West is why some Marines and Soldiers are starting to see THEIR children deploy to the same war they fought.

This whole thing is unsat.

I'll continue to post this stuff cause the unknowning need to see the reality of the world.
